Thank you for your time ^_^

Jessina paced back and forth in her bedroom, already sick and tired of being cooped up after three hours.
Jessina: (Lucky sis.... How come she got out and not me? What'd she do? How did she...?)
She stopped in her track as she heard rapping on the door.
Aidan: Princess? May I come in?
Jessina scoffed.
Jessina: Listen, moron. I'm probably ten times the fighter you are. If you come in here and even try to come within ten feet of me, I'll kick your a**.
Aidan: No, I promise I'm not doing anything.... I just want to talk...
Jessina: I'm sure...
Aidan: Really! I want to talk about your sister...
Jessina: What about her?
Her voice became less harsh and more sincere.
Aidan: Um... How about we go for a walk...?
The princess hesitated.
Aidan: I promise that I'm not going to try anything.
She sighed deeply.
Jessina: Fine...
She walked over to the door.
Jessina: Okay, guard, you heard him. You can let me out now.
The door swung open, reavealing the rodent-like face of Aidan, smirking as usual. She stepped outside reluctantly and followed her new companion down the hall.
Jessina: So what do you have to say?
Cal: Miss?
A voice echoed in Lissabelle's head as she slept silently, still recovering from her episode in the tunnel.
Cal: Miss....you've been sleeping for hours.... I just want to make sure you're okay....
She felt a hand make contact with her bare shoulder. It gave her chills, even in her slumber. She stirred slightly, her eyes fluttering gently until opening. Her first sight was the boy from this morning, his eyes still glowing just as they had done in broad daylight.
Cal: Glad to see you awake...
He smiled that charismatic smile once again, his nose wrinkled and his eyes even brighter.
Lissabelle: Where...where am I?
She sat up and looked around: it was a small tent with two cots, (she was laying in the smaller of the two) two small traveling bags, some pots and pans, other traveling items, and a burning fire in the very center.
Cal: Well, I guess I can understand that you don't remember... You're in the marketplace. This is our camp for the time being... Well, my mother's and mine, i mean.
Lissabelle: Oh... I see.... And who are you?
Cal: Cal Mitchell. And you?
Lissabelle: (Uh oh... Can't use my real name.... Um....think....!)
Her throat was dry and her mind was blank.
Lissabelle: Lissy....My name is Lissy. (Gee, I made that more difficult than it needed to be...)
Cal: Nice to meet you.
He took her hand and shook it gently, still smiling.
Cal: So, how do you feel?
Lissabelle: Oh, fine I suppose...
Cal: You sure? I mean, you've been sleeping all day... What happened, anyway?
Lissabelle: Um...well... I was...shopping this morning, but I....I had an asthma attack.... and then I couldn't breathe, so I fainted...
Cal: I see... Well are you sure you're alright? I'll walk you home if you want me to...
Lissabelle: Oh, well...I actually...I...I... (Oh here we go again.... I need to think these things out before I run away from now on...) I'm an orphan... I have no home...
Cal: Oh... I'm sorry....
He turned away and scratched the back of his head.
Cal: Well you must have somewhere to go...
Lissabelle: Well, I was just released from the orphanage yesterday, because now I'm old enough to get a job... So, not really...
Cal: Oh...I'm sorry... Have you found a job?
Lissabelle: Um...no....
Cal: Well...um.... you see...
He cleared his throat.
Cal: Me, my mother, and ten others are all a part of a merchant caravan. We're from the north, you see... Sapphire Lake to be exact...
Lissabelle: SAPPHIRE LAKE!
Her eyes brightened as she remembered her childhood home, the one she adored with all of her heart.
Lissabelle: You live there? That's my favorite place in the world! You see, I was born there, and....
Cal's glazed-over look reminded the princess that she had interrupted him in mid-speech.
Lissabelle: Oh...heheh...sorry.
Cal: Heh, it's alright, anyway, we travel down to the central kingdom for the summer and fall to sell our merchandise, then we go back home in the late fall to be home for the winter. It's not a way to make a whole lot of money, but it's fun and we get to travel a lot... And, well, we could always use more salesmen...
Lissabelle: Oh, you wouldn't want to put up with me... I'd only be a burden...
Cal: No no no, I insist. You need somewhere to go... We'd be pleased to have you tag along.
Lissabelle: (It is an excuse to get as far away from the kingdom as possible...) You know what? I guess I will. Thank you for your kindness.
Cal: Oh, no need to thank me. We'll be glad to have you...
Lissabelle: Really? Why?
Cal: Pretty girls always get a lot of customers
Lissabelle's mouth dropped open, halfway in disgust, halfway in surprise at the compliment. (It was a compliment after all...)
Cal: It was a joke.....
Lissabelle: Oh...yes...I...suspected...
Cal: Not that you're not pretty....
Lissabelle: I didn't think you meant...
Cal: Not that I'm hitting on you or anything...!
Lissabelle: Uh...?
Cal: Maybe I should just stop talking....
Lissabelle: Smart move...
She smiled sweetly as he scratched the back of his head, wincing in embarrassment.
Jessina: So.... Why is my sister in danger?
The tomboy princess inquired as she and Aidan strolled down the empty palace halls.
Aidan: My reckless moron of a cousin is after her...
Jessina: So is my father's entire army. What's the difference?
Aidan: You don't get it do you? The only reason he wants to marry her is because of his lust for her. He's just going to treat her like...like...
Jessina: A sex slave?
Aidan: Is the world "subtlety" even in your vocabulary?
Jessina: No.
The prince's cousin groaned.
Aidan: Anyway, let's just say that if he or any of the soldiers ever find her, and she ends up marrying him, things will not be good for her...
Jessina: Tell me something I don't know.
Aidan: I'm gonna help you get out of here.
Jessina: Oh, yeah, I'm sure that's gonna.... What?
She continued, then turned to look up at him with wide hazel eyes.
