we walked in the Pharaoh Wildreness west of Ticonderoga yesterday afternoon. we were out all day until it was dark and the stars came out. we found a wild and rough little body of water called Lost Lake. (if we found it, can it still be Lost? razz )
the going was rough but it was so beautiful and unspoiled i just loved it. on the way back, the stars were as bright as streetlights, simply because there were no streetlights anywhere nearby to compete with them.
