Dripings of darkness
Poetry: The Moon
Title: The Moon

There as I sit back and watch the moon
My Kindred begin to cry out.
Ever screaming,
Ever waning.
The Moon is pretty tonight.

My Kindred tear at each other’s throats
As they fight for territory in my Domain.
They are the wretches of my every waking moment.
The Moon is full tonight.

Another dead the hunt is on.
I must go into hiding with the rest
The Elders are there, but know where is safe.
The Moons glow is almost peaceful tonight.

The Damned are pounding at my door
‘Let me in’ they say ‘We are your Kin’
But I do not listen.
The Moon is bright enough that I can read by it tonight.

I can hear my Kindred screaming
The hunters are here
I can feel the flames of their torches
I drink my red, red wine in the Moon light.

Tonight is my last night
To enjoy, a Moon Lit Feast.
