"The Weed"
I watched so many beautiful flowers, enter into the life I lived.
Everyone smiled, everyone gasped.
Self consciously I hid my shame.
So sweetly did nature bow for them, with ease all around was theres.
I watched, just wishing for once, that I.
Then remembered the visage I gave.
This weed did dream one time, like the flowers so charming and fair.
Smiles, approval from all, I won.
I shined, forgetting I'm plain.
But a weed among flowers is pulled, tossed away as useless and waste.
Hoping, it clings to life, for someone...
then dies from neglect and pain.
