the pain it causes me
to read about your story,
i never before respected you
and for this i am sorry.
steps away from safety
is where you finally fell,
such as does the thirsty man,
two inches from the well.
you died very bravely
and fought very true
and may you be born again
to find happiness anew.
it was not very far
the thing to save your life
but you were stabbed
in the back
with your own knife
and now your bones
lay bleaching white.
i pray you find some comfort
with this coming night.
then, in a death of silence,
with weeping does your ma
happiness may find you
with the Valkyries of Valhalla.
i was having a lot of trouble with this one, and so it sucks. yah, i was reading the book Viking Warrior and thought of this poem. yah, thats a good book, but the character is a little underdeveloped. otherwise it is a good book. yah. very gory. not that gory, but ya know, arms being cut off, blood everywhere, yah. xp
