Transparent wings
The wings of my soul lift me from the darkness
From my darkest memories, moments, thoughts
No one can see them but me
I can feel them there
I can see him there
He lifts me up in my darkest hours
I don’t know who he is
Or where he might be
But I know he’s out there
Somewhere…
Whispers in the silent rain
It’s his voice
He’s my conscience
The voice in my head that tells me to take care of myself
The voice that gets me through the days
One day….
One day I will find him
One day I will find the wings that lift me to the light
Pull me out of the darkness…
I watch the rose outside my window
A certain luminance radiates off of it
I see a pedal fall, and a part of me falls with it
The rose is the guardian soul
Staying and living for as long as it can hold out
But dies as the harshness of the cold rushes in
I can’t help it….
Watching the sky cry its forever-falling tears
These tears bring us joy
Brings us redemption
The rain-washes all impurities away…
But not mine…
Suicide. Murder. Terrorism. Sickness
Wealth. Avarice. Lust. Envy
Sloth. Gluttony. Vanity
Damned sins that surround us all
We can’t fight these sins, but we embrace them
We take them to a new level of grossness
Poor souls who give in to the ruling sins
High school…. what can you do?
Absolutely nothing…
