I stay in the corner and watch him
I stay on the wall
He loves me like a sister
But not the way I want him too
I gave him my heart
But he threw it away
My rose is dying
The pedals fall and hit the floor
There is no way to deny this
I just want him to love me
Is that so much to ask?
I don’t want to wait for my life to be over
I couldn’t bear such a wait
Couldn’t he just love me?
Is it so hard?
Is there something wrong with me?
The pedals continue to fall
The raven’s crow is dying
The vulture circles
The wolf, he howls
Why can’t I just run away?
Run away to a place that I can be loved for just being me
The last of the pedals are falling
And time is short
I have little to give him
I can only hope by leaving him my heart will I be able to accept myself
So I bid you farewell
Until the day I return
i wrote this poem for my friend who had lost her heart to her best friend, i hope this helps
