"She adored kids. The smiles on their faces, the warm feeling inside she got when they laughed...they were just so darn loveable. That's why Pixilatedangel felt she had the calling to be a nurse in the children's ward at the local hospital.
Hallowe'en was fast approaching, and the children of the ward were both excited, yet sad.
"I wish I could trick or treat..." a young girl whispered to Pixilatedangel one day as she made her usual rounds. "I liked Hallowe'en."
"Why is that?" she replied, curiosity over-coming her. She sat close to the young leukemia patient and smiled gently.
"I like the costumes!" The girl said, grinning widely. "Sometimes they're scary, but sometimes they're funny! I like the silly costumes the best!" The girl's face had lit up drastically, a glimmer of cheer and hope present on the face that was only too often overcome with sadness and pain. Pixilatedangel had to do something. The children needed joy, especially on a night like Hallowe'en.
On October 31st, nurse Pixilatedangel amused the children amused the children greatly with her costume of random bits.
"Thank you..." that same girl said happily, with a smile on her face that warmed the heart of the caring nurse."
