Whew, I've been so busy lately! My boyfriend came home for Christmas break. A whole month of uninterrupted boyfriend-time. Happy-Nikore dance!
December was... eventful. (Unfortunately). We had a huge ice storm. Everything was coated in an inch of ice. Tree branches were falling everywhere... one landed on my head. Owwie. That one sent me to the hospital. I'm fine now, just a minor concussion. I wanted to take a picture of the branch that hit me, but the tree-trimming service turned it into mulch before I got the chance.
I spent a week (Christmas week, actually) without power. We opened our presents in the dark. Our power came back on Christmas Eve, but it went out again Christmas day. A branch fell on the power line and broke it after it was fixed. x.x;;;
Since Christmas, I have developed a mysterious hatred of trees. I derived a sick sort of joy whenever I saw someone cutting down a badly-damaged tree in my neighborhood. No sound makes me happier than the sound of a well-fed chainsaw. There goes my dream of being an environmentalist.
