expect something really random today! as usual!
by popular demand, I have decided to post the story I wrote for English class, entitled "Nightmare in room 209" (our class is in 209 at school)

It was a quiet morning in the city. Autumn was nearly over, bringing frosty silence over the schoolyard. Students sat in A block; being a Monday, that was the first of their four classes. As usual, everyone but myself was feeling slow and tired. "I hate Mondays." echoed through the halls.
"I LOVE Mondays!" I thought, smiling brightly as the second bell rang. "Alright!" Ms. Pearson began, commanding subliminally that the class would fall silent, "Today, we're having our short story quiz!" she continued. A loud moan arose from my classmates. "Yes! Quiz!" I whispered, still grinning. As Ms. Pearson handed out the papers, I immediately got to work. The test was fairly easy; even though I never studied, I answered all the questions quickly and correctly. Being a short story quiz, I finished early, turning my paper over to doodle on the back. As I set my pencil down on the paper to write something, though, I noticed that my hands were shaking. "What...?" I muttered, raising my eyebrows curiously. I checked my heart rate on my watch, to find it nearly ten beats faster than it normally was. "Ms. Pearson, can I go to the washroom?" I asked, raising my hand. "Okay." she responded, glancing up from papers on her desk. I stood up, trembling, and walked to the door. Turning the doorknob yielded no results. Rather than opening, the latch clicked sharply, not allowing the handle to turn any further. "The door's locked...?" I asked, unable to keep from worrying slightly. "Is there a problem, Sarah?" Ms. Pearson asked, looking over to me. "The door is locked." I said shortly, pointing to the silver handle. "That's odd...now why would it be locked?" she asked, standing up and walking over. The whole class looked over, not paying attention to their tests anymore. "I don't know..." I said quietly, still shivering. "Well, I can't open it from the inside. I'll call the office to open the door." she said matter-of-factly, walking briskly over to the computer desk. As she picked up the phone, however, an announcement came over the PA system. "Attention students," The principal, Mr. Tobin's voice echoed through the school. "Quiet everybody!" Ms. Pearson said, though it was rather unnecessary, as the whole class was already silent. "We have just gotten word from the science lab that a dangerous chemical was spilled and has gotten into the air circulation system. Everyone must be evacuated. If there is anyone still in the school at the ten minute mark, they will fall unconcious and shortly thereafter, unfortunarely, die."
First came the shocked silence. It was so quiet that it seemed the school had already been evacuated. I stood absolutely still, excepting my uncontrolable shaking. I could hear nothing at all, other than my own increased heartbeat. Assuming that the poisoned air caused this, it was happening to everyone. The dead silence was broken when something dropped to the floor in the autoshop next door to our classroom, ressounding throughout the school. Instantly, chaos errupted around the school. Doors were thrown open, students and teachers running towards the doors and bursting into the school field. Our classroom, though, was much worse. Everyone was afraid, afraid that we'd all die within ten minutes. Girls cried upon each other, boys tried to stay calm but I could see the fear in their eyes. I stayed silent and calm, not scared in the least of dying. I turned my back to the distraught kids in the now incredibly small room, staring curiously at the doorway. "How are we going to get out of here?" I thought, frowning slightly. I had set my watch for ten minutes when Mr. Tobin had announced the accidental spillage of chemicals. Now, there were eight minutes left. After squinting at the door for about thirty seconds more, I devised a plan to escape. Turning to the horrified crowd that was my classmates, I took a deep breath. "YAMENASAI!" I yelled, the loudest I could handle (yamenasai = cut that out in Japanese). Instantly, everyone looked over at me, confused and scared looks on their faces. "I have a plan." I said softly, fully aware that we only had seven minutes left. "W-what's the plan, then?" Diane stammered, her eyes wide with fear. "There's a gap between the wall and the door frame. If we put paper towel in the gaps and light it on fire, the bricks will crack and we can push the door down." I explained. "How do we stop the fire, genius?" Brandon asked, sarcasm lacing his voice. I pointed, without even bothering to look, at the fire extinguisher. "That actually might work." Eric commented. "Going to help me or not?" I asked, raising my eyebrows. Everyone jumped up, rushing to the paper towel dispenser. It was easy to fill the cracks, and it only took a minute. "Anybody got a lighter?" I asked. "No" rang out through the class. I hung my head, sighing heavily. "I have one..." Ms. Pearson chimed in, "I confiscated it from a student." She pulled it out of her coat pocket, lighting it and holding it under the paper. Instantly, the paper caught fire. I watched it burn, around the edge of the door. Apparently, the fire extinguisher wasn't needed, as the fire couldn't find anything else to annihilate and thus annihilated itself. I walked two steps to the wall, placing my hands on the bricks. They were hot, and cracked all the way around the doorframe. "Okay..." I said, taking a step back. I checked my watch; four minutes. "We have to push the door down. It may take a few tries, though..." I said. All the guys, trying to redeem themselves for showing fear easlier, stood against the door. "Ready..." I said, raising a hand. They backed up a step, readying themselves. "Push!" I yelled, dropping my hand. As it fell, they threw themselves at the door. There was a loud crack, but the door didn't fall. "Again!" all the girls said, as they tried once more. Each time, the door moved slightly. With one last push against the door, the bricks around it crumbled. "Now!" I said loudly. Once last time, the boys hurled themselves against the door. The door fell, slowly at first, crashing to the floor outside the classroom. A loud cheer arose from my classmates, and I realized for the first time what I'd done. "Let's get out of here." I said quietly, blushing deeply and leading my class into the hallway. I put my hands on the doors to push them open, but my attempt was in vain. The doors, to prevent anyone from re-entering the school, had been locked. "No..." I whispered, my eyes widening. "Open the doors!" my class said simultaneously, starting to get impatient with me. "I...I can't... they're l-locked." I stuttered, fear increasing my already over-average heart rate. As I finished, the alarm on my wrist watch went off. Though I heard it, it echoed into silence as counciousness slipped away from me. The last thing I saw before my vision left me and I fell to the floor was the horrified faces of my classmates.
