My mother was the great Demoness Nadeara, she spent a majority of her rule inside the comforts of her Castle. The land she ruled was barren, cold, filled with mountains and caves filled with jewels. She knew much about arcane magic and often used it for her enjoyment of torturing people. She kept herself well isolated, shrouding herself in mystery, a great temptation for passerbys and wanna-be-knights.
Whether she seduced them or killed them she never held emotions for any of them. The only thing she loved was her precious jewels, she horded them away just as fickled as a dragon. When she did spare the chance to enjoy their veiw and sparkle (which she did often) she would open the windows for the sunlight to reflect off all the gems, causing them all to sparkle.
On one such occasion a crow nearby quickly caught sight of the sparkling beautys and as is their nature took to steal one. Furious that a crow took off with one of her precious stones she followed after the bird. She feared to use her magic on it, for there was a possibility it could shatter the jewel. She followed it down her mountain, across the barren lands and into the lush forest, all the while thinking of what she would do when she found the dratted bird.
The sun begun to set, and she soon realized that in her haste she had lost track of which direction she had come from. She was able to see well in the darkness but had grown to tired to try to find her way out and fell asleep in the roots of a great oak tree. It was when she awoke that she met my father...
