Darkness
I walked down the long dark corridor
My footsteps in the darkness
I paused and pressed my ear to the wall
Nothing
I kept walking
Sliding my hand along the wall to keep me in the right direction
It got cold
I shivered I White tee
and paused to rub my hands together
that's when I heard it
Footsteps running along the corridor
The soles clicking on the cold hard floor
heading..
my way
I got scared
I ran, ran farther into the darkness
resisting the urge to scream
I ran farther
hands searching the air blindly for a wall, anything, something to hold on to
then it happened
I felt the air beneth me
and heard myself scream
i was

L
L
I
N
G
fast.
I looked down
only to see flames and spikes
I screamed louder than before
knowing
I was close to death
then...
A foot away from death
from never living again
From never seeing Day agian
I woke up.
In my bed.
