My aunt, Cindy, passed away Monday morning, September 18, 2006. I heard this from my dad after our homecoming parade. She had had a stroke on Sunday, and I had been planning on visiting her Monday night. When I heard the news, I didn't know what to say. Today at school, I cried despite the promise to myself that I wouldn't. I keep thinking, she won't be there to see me reach 16, 18. She won't be there for my graduation, or there for my wedding. She won't be there to hold my children, and she won't be there on Christmas with her big smile. Even now, I'm trying not to cry all over my keyboard, but I won't lie, it hurts. I know that the pain will eventually become bearable, but right now, I just need people to comfort me, so even if I don't know you, please just say hello.
