P_DA's holiday, and other minor points of interest.
I can't remember why I need to remember the number 8591, but I've been repeating it to myself for the past few minutes. o-O It's probably the total amount one of my dream avatars comes to. 3247 at the moment; not bad. Although I was saving up for a different item that was totally unrelated, the purple pimpin' hat. xd
This could be quite a long entry.

One: I'm back from my lovely holiday in Barcelona.
Two: I've got most of my uniform for the new term.
Three: I still have a small amount of english and psychology homework to do, and an effing painting for art! ==

Let's start expanding on those three points. 3nodding
1. Barcelona was cool, and I even have a slight tan, which is odd for me. I don't have sensitive skin, I can stand heated climates for at least a few hours with appropriate provisions, but me and my sister just don't tan much. It doesn't bother me that much, but she'd prefer to be less pasty. whee
I was waiting for the elevator in our (very snazzy) hotel one of the days, and it was taking absolutely ages. Finally, it arrived with a merry little ding. "Yay!!! ^_^" I said, rather excitedly...
Cue the porter walking out of it looking amused. It was a bit embarrassing, but quite funny for both of us all the same.
One breakfast we sat outside Dunkin' Doughnuts and witnessed a gay fight. xd One of them was drunk or stoned by the wobbly looks of him, and had met up with a boy/friend of his outside said place. I wasn't watching them avidly, so at some point another pair of guys joined them. The drunk/stoned and violently pink-shirted guy took off his jacket (I've never seen anybody do that outside of old Victorian films xd Then again, it was probably a posh one he didn't want to ruin...), gave it to the second dude, and started pushing around one of the others, albeit a bit ineffectively. The other two just kept breaking it up every few seconds. The one he was picking on looked a bit "...Wh-wh? Why me?" *Puppy whine*
Nothing else to report about that holiday, except for they speak both dual Catalan and Spanish there, but most of the menus etc. are in Catalan, so it wasn't really very cohesive for my Spanish...
And also, random nice thing concerning a random stranger follows. We went to a public park designed by Gaudi, which was very arty and nice, but we had to go back a second time for a proper look. Thanks to my mum having some weird monthly cycle, every few months I get incredibly unwell with many different symptoms, including a face the shade of concrete, which wasn't facilitated this time by the fact it was about thirty degrees. So we had to get a taxi back to the hotel (Gaudi's popular in Spain; I'd gotten a bit fed up of him by the end of the week because of his recurrences everywhere, but also because his park may be nice, but there's bloody hills and steps and long slopes and walks everywhere you turn! Not good if you're not feeling particularly sunny). Halfway out I sat down somewhere, and some Spanish guy came up and offered me a packet of sugar because he thought I was having some kind of diabetic difficulty. It was quite touching, and he didn't seem to look daunted at the fact I was about to throw up on his shoes. ^^ Which, luckily, I didn't.
Anyway, there's my holiday account finished. There was another lift-yay moment when a little rickshaw sort-of taxi drove past, and having read the name, I squealed: "Trixie Tours! ^^". The occupants seemed a bit embarrassed they were riding such a stupidly-named little contraption. X3

2. Erm, yes. New school term. For the sake of it, I'll describe the english school system, as nobody american or continental seems to understand it. There's nursery school (A.K.A. Kindergarten anywhere else). Then there's primary school, which is between the ages of 5 and 11, with years 1-6. Reception class is just after nursery, for new and very young school arrivals. You start high school at 11-12, and it goes up to age 16, with years 7-11. Then comes sixth-form college, which can be attached to the same school grounds/campus, ages 16-18 and years 12 and 13. I'm about to start year 11, final year of high school, and I'll be 16 next March. I get some new uniform items, like a black tie instead of the green lower-school one, and an optional black jumper, which looks a lot better than just a shirt. However our school blazer makes everything look atrocious. == I got a new skirt as well. I didn't wear one last year, but with my new shorter hair cut it suits me slightly more.

Aa~and that's all for now, I suppose!

Uniform shopping is depresing =.= I had to do that today. *Shudder* and everything seems so uncomfortable! even though you've worn the same thing all year.
