today was a wild ride. i work in human resources, and i just lost two very close coworkers to layoffs. this came to all of us as a terrible shock because its a huge corporation. we have locations all over the world, the company stock has been going up, and it seems like the most stable job ever, with job security. nope. i just cant belive it. it wont be the same there anymore.
i will for sure have to absorb a lot of extra responsibilities. I have soo many questions, like will i remain an hourly employee or will i become salary, will i make more money as a result of this, can i move to a new office space? i feel selfish for even wondering these things when two people just lost their jobs.
