I'm in my town's color guard and, last week, band camp started. Camp starts at two in the afternoon, and usually ends at nine.
During our seven hours of camp, we stand in the hot suns, spinning our flags and weapons (I'm strictly flag-line). The instructors can be very mean to us and are extremely strict. Complain, talk back, or do anything they don't like, and die.
It's no fun, whatsoever, but I'm sort of glad this whole band camp thing happened in a way. I feel mentally different, and there's this new thought I can't get out of my head:
"OMFG!!!11111111111111 Is this what it feels like to be DISCIPLINED!?!!?"
Plus I got a nice tan... and sunburn... but whatever.
