My first chance to explore has left me with a bag full of various insects, an old tin can, various flowers, crumpled pieces of paper, and a rather strange satisfaction after having shaken down every tree and bush in my path.
It's not like I was giving them a big hug either. You hug a tree, and it isn't going to go anywhere. But the trees here, as if made of a strong jelly, wiggle and jiggle as if a stiff wind might blow them over. And then as I'm "hugging" them, which is the story I'll stick with, thank you very much officer, I pick their pockets. I don't know why I first decided to pilfer their scant bit of coins, perhaps I simply accidentily knocked it from their pockets, but then I realized that I could pick the coins up and they don't retaliate!
So while I hunted down the various flora and fauna, I also held up...I mean "hugged"...every bush and tree I could find. Some were as broke as I am, but most I could squeeze a few precious coinage from.
Perhaps one bright, sunny day, I'll stop and pet a tree in thanks.
And then steal its money too!
