i sit and feel it tighten around my heart
the ring of torns
placed there all to long ago
i feel the blood drip down
into the pool that seems to form
no matter how hard i try
too stop the bleeding

forget the scars
for now there opened once more
as i forget what i know
i cause too much pain to be happy

i wish those who come to be for peace
would understand
they could to a someone too seeks his own peace
