A feeling

What is a feeling?
+
Is it real?
+
Or just something made up?
+
I think...
+
It comes when a person least expects it...
+
One moment
+
Happiness reigns
+
Then
+
Sadness drains
+
All those good moments
+
The ones that made you happy in the first place
+
Until you feel that you can't go on any more
+
+
+
+
One little smile
+
A smile from a friend
+
Or a complete stranger
+
Can turn your whole day around again
+
Just like that
+
And happiness resumes its course through and through
+
And you shrug off those sad times
+
And get on with life
+
+
+
+
But sometimes...
+
+
+
+
+
+
There is no one.
+
No one to pick you up when you're down
+
No one to sing a happy song on a rainy day
+
Because they're the reason...
+
+
+
+
+
Sadness came into your life
+
As soon as they left
+
+
+
+
+
Some memories you can't just shrug off
+
You have to live with them every day
+
And then new feelings appear:
+
+
+
+
Guilt
+
+
+
+
And regret
+
+
+
Guilt eats you away until you can barely go on anymore
+
+
+
Regret makes you want to go back to that time
+
And change everything
+
Because Guilt and Regret leave you nothing except
+
The feeling that...
+
+
+
"It's all my fault..."
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
Nothingness
+
+
+
+
Then, there's nothingness...
+
+
The feeling that you don't matter anymore...
+
That nobody does
+
Once you finally obtain this feeling.....
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
It's all over.
+
+
+
+
Unless...
+
+
+
+
Someone new comes along...
+
+
+
+
To cause happiness again.
