"Destiny come on its time to leave." Athrun said calling his daughter. He waited by the door for her, they were going to go to a ZAFT federation christmas party. Each ZAFT Pilot had gotten an invitation just short two months before the party was to happen. Athrun seemed excited about seeing his old teamates but didn't show it. Destiny came downstairs a while later in a dress that looked similar to Laccus's own dress except the skirt was black.
"Don't you look cute." Athrun said patting his daughter on the head. "Thank you daddy." Destiny said smiling. She was happy that she got to go with her father to meet the others that fought alongside him in the war. She had always enjoyed going with him everywhere, as far back as she could remember it had always been her and her father, she didn't recall any memory of her mother and never spoke about her to Athrun being that it seemed to make him sad. "You'll mind your manners while we are there right?" Athrun asked looking at her.
It had been a joy for him to raise his little girl, Cagaill had died shortly after Destiny was born leaving him with a small newborn child to care for. He had been devistated to say the least but he managed to raise her up to this point in life. He told her stories of his days in the the war and how it came to an end. He also told her stories of when Cagaili had been pregnant with her. She was an angel, his angel he was surprised that she hadn't taken after her mother. she was the exact mirror of him.
Destiny looked up at her father who was staring off into space. "Papa?" she said. "Hmm oh sorry destiny come on let's go." he said putting up his umbrella as he and destiny walked out to the car. Athrun opened the door for his daughter and she climbed in the front seat. Closing the door he walked over to the driver side and got in and started up the car and drove off to the Commander's mansion where the party was to be held.
Two hours later the two arrived at the mansion and Athrun parked his car in an empty spot and got out and put the umbrella up. Walking over to Destiny's side he opened the door and held his hand out for Destiny to take. The small child took her father's hand and hopped out of the car and walked beside him as the rain came down harder. The two walked inside the mansion as one of the servants walked up to them. Athrun handed her the umbrella and he walked into the main room with Destiny.
