Different McD's throughout the world ... pls share
It seems a lot of people are giving me comments like ...
Quote:
"Mac has curly fries?!"

Well, it could be the that it is only available in Singapore? Keke ... incentive to travel to Singapore!!! Hahah (trying to boost the tourism rate here for Singapore)

Mac is kinda like a world wide thing. They have one in almost every country. And to meet demands they would sell differently in different countries.

I've seen spicy ninja burger (black pepper sauce hamburger), apple dipper (pcs of apples dipped in some sweet sauce), congee (porridge but stickier), corn in a cup, Fan-tastic rice burger (the buns are made out of rice), Oreo McFlurry (damn delicious vanilla ice cream with oreo bits in it).

http://www.mcdonalds.com.sg/

We even have Mc Cafes for those coffee buffs as it seems to be the trend to sit in cafes here sipping on ice blendeds and hot chocolate.

So what different stuff does your MacDonald sell in your country? Share.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have to REALLY curb my spending.
I was just wandering around my building at Harbourfront. The sign ... I couldn't resist the sign!!!

xd U2 FURTHER REDUCTIONS!!! WAH!!! Even the new arrival items were 30% off! Pants were 50% off! Left U2 with a new pair of beige pants and navy blue striped top! Kekeke.

Later went to City Link shopping ... er ... link. It's an underground shopping area which leads from Raffles City Shopping Center to Suntec City (a convention center and shopping mall) and Marina Square (a newly revamped shopping mall). How to not shop!?!?!?!!?

I almost succumbed to a ring but the price was well ... too pricey ... $21.90 for a ring. Lucky I didn't buy that cause I got a nice discount on a spiffy pair of dark purple 3 inch heels. (only $20+) It's weird but my legs felt sexier in 3 inches than when in 2 inches ... hahaha. 4laugh

wahmbulance Yes Singapore is a shopping haven, that is IF you know where to look for the bargains. Like I prefer shopping in Tampines or Bugis cause the discounts are way better than in Orchard Road. But Orchard road has it's variety with like ... *counts* ... 1 ... 2 ... 4 ... wait ... the ones I go to ...

- Far East Plaza
- Lido Building
- C.K. Tangs
- Wisma Atria
- Takashimaya
- Paragon
- Heeren
- Centrepoint

... and these are only the ones that I GO TO. I have not named all. So yah, you don't like one you just walk down to the next building for a slightly different shopping experience. cool

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ooh my dear friend Lai went to the San Diego Convention and I was like messaging him like crazy from Singapore to buy me GAIA MERCHANDISE!!! WHEEEEE!!!!

The sweet darling did!!!! And he has already mailed them out to me TODAY!!! YAY!!!

I got him to get me the Gaia OMG Hat, and the kiki, coco and grunny plushies!!! YAY! Should get here in a week. Once they're here I'm soooo gonna cam whore and show off!! YAY! heart

Over here in the USA -waves flag- we have these Club/Ranch (There's one more but I forgot it! sweatdrop ) Chicken Sandwiches. SO GOOD!! (You can choose whether you want your chicken grilled or crispy.) I always choose the crispy Club one minus the lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I heart the taste of swiss cheese, bacon, and crispy chicken under a bun! (Maybe I can persuade my mom to take my sister and me to Mac tonight for dinner tonight... ninja ) Ooh the sexxi ninja blends in! -ninjas in the night-

In Australia they have the McOz burger which I was never fond of because it had a slice of beet on it. Another difference is toys. Certain movies change from country to country. Another significant thing about foreign McDonalds is that in counrty's with out franshise copyright infringement there are fakes. Like in Uzbekistan, there are McDonars. Which aren't McDonalds, which is obvious by the low quality. Probably the most significant difference is in the treats, I've been to some McDonalds that had syrup on the vanilla ice cream. But my favorite McDonalds in and out meal would have to be the Ribwich.

Heh, another interesting intercontinental restraunt is Burger King or as it is called in Australia, Hungry Jack's. They even serve the same food, although the nuggets and fries have different spices.

Anywho, I really enjoyed talking about this and wanna end with the difference in every McDonalds. Every region uses different meats, with different qualities. The first Australian burger I had tasted so weird because the cows are mostly free range.

Peace out. I'm lovin' it.

In the Orlando Florida market, they are testing a Bistro style McDonalds. It's not too swell. But they do have a rather extensive menu.

I actually work at McDonnalds so this is realy interesting.

In France you can buy beer with your meal. I have never seen that in America.

Also, each franchized McDonnalds can choose what they want to sell, mine (In Massachusetts) stopped selling spicy chicken in excange for the snack wrap (A chicken select in a tortilla with letuse, cheese, and either ranch or honey mustard dressing.) It' s my favorate thing on the menu whee I mean after the apple pies of course, I get them for a quarter a peice!

We have coffee and Ice coffee which are better than Dunkin' Donuts (though that may just be because they are free.) and they are actually free to everyone between 5 and 7 am, but thank god this is only a part time gig or I'd have to deal with that rush.

((America's the one with Apple Dippers and McFlurrys!))

D:
freaking awesome food and it's not effing fattening.

yeah they try to accomodate to a culture's "taste". It's funny how in asia all the fastfood american restaurants do much better in places other than america. They eat so much and yet they're not obese either.

=3 I really enjoyed reading this, reaaaally interesting and agreeable. =]

Over here in New York, USA, we have the typical things: burgers, fries, milkshakes, mcflurries that I'm sure every McDonald's has.

And then...we have their more...well, "creative" selections. xd

Exhibit A: The Asian Salad:
Basically, it's lettuce with mandarin oranges, "orange chicken," and pea pods in it, and some ginger vinegrette. It's really good, but they really push to market it as being "Asian."

Exhibit B: The Fruit and Walnut Salad:
Red and Green Apples with walnuts, and a caramel dipping sauce. Not really a salad, but whatever. ^_^;;

Exhibit C:
The fish sandwich: It's pretty much fishsticks on a bun, with some sad attempt of a tartar sauce. xD

We also just got iced coffees here, and the infamous snack wrap (which is pretty gosh darn good).

This was really a very interesting blog topic. ^__^
And I wish I could go to Singapore. -_-;;

In Canada we have all sorts of McFlurries and the Apple pieces too. If they're the same, it's caramel that they're dipped in. 3nodding

In Malaysia, there's pizza with hot sauce on it.

So the other day, me and my mom pull into the Mcdonalds drive through. And she asks me what I want. (A Mc. Rib of Course) They only show up every year about once a month, delicious fake ribs smothered in barbaque on a bun. (Only Mickey-D's could take something so complicated and sophisticated, and sell it for a Buck Ninety Nine. And anyways, my mother asks for a whopper. And I asked her: They sell those here?? The man throught he intercom refuses to sell her a whopper. So she fumes off: THEN I'LL TAKE MY BUISNESS ELSEWHERE...and we went to Burger King...And got Big Macs. blaugh

Spicy ninja burgers! Apple dippers! heart 4laugh That sounds...appetizing, and quite original. I must say... whee

In New Zealand, there's a Saladsplus menu that's been released. You can choose from Banana Berry smoothies, Yoghurt Berry Crunch, salads e.g Chicken Salad with chicken breast slices, crisp garden salad mix, tomato and croutons,

Deli-style toasted rolls (Chicken Tandoori, Tandoori marinated chicken breast slices in a toasted roll with lettuce, slices of tomato and cucumber with a mint and yoghurt flavoured dressing, and a Classic Chicken roll) I love the Chicken tandoori... heart xd

Besides that, we have the normal apple pies, sundaes (hot fudge, caramel, strawberry, and chocolate), and the soft serve cones (vanilla ice-cream with the choice of a flake or no flake)

Here in Quebec, the McDonald's sell Poutine, which is a distinctly French-Canadian contraption that involves a bowl of fries, over which you sprinkle cheese curds (little crumbly lumps of cheddar-like cheese) and then you pour gravy over the whole mess, and eat it with a fork. It's like a bowl of sex that will give you a heart attack.

The Mc Donalds in Germany sell beer. Yet another possibly unknown fact. Well if it's no supprise to anybody, a lot of restaurants there sell beer.

So yeah, learn German and go to Germany. Then have a beer with your Big Mac!

in japan we had these things called "shaka shaka's" they were SO GREAT! they give you a bag that you put your french fries in then the shaka shaka was a flavoured powder that you put in over the fries then you close the bag and shake, which gave it the name "shaka shaka" and then you ate the fries AND THEY WERE SO MUCH BETTER.

I <3 Japan.

Well, here in Las Vegas, we got a new flavor of milkshake, it's Raspberry and Mango, one time we even got Banana Chocolate.

Oh, but one time in this small town in Arizona I went to visit family, and their McDonalds still served bagel sandwiches for breakfast, it would come with egg, bacon, ham or sausage patty, and cheddar cheese. They were my favorites, because I would have one for breakfast before I would go to school when I was younger.
