(I'm a little rusty when it comes to where I left off on the last one, so I am gonna make another one.)
She watched the water runinng down from the leaky roof. It's not easy to find good shelter when you have no money. Spikey thought. The dripping made her daydream, spinning her out of her hellish reality and into a blissful past.
He life had never been easy. Growing up alone in a world that turns it nose down to less fortunate people, Spikey was determined to survive and leave this life. The syndicates promised fame and fortune to all its members. Spikey mentally decided that she would never join them. It was hopeless. The young girl wanted better than that.
I want to marry some young handsome enterprising man so I'll never have to live like this again. She used to tell herself.
Thunder rumbled and pulled Spikey out of the daydream. I was young and niave back then. Thankfully, I've grown up since then. She told herself. She looked out the stormy window and smiled. And now, she said to herself, My dreams have changed... All I want is to survive....
