Yep! I've got some nifty little tricks that benifit both gaia, and non-gaia things!

First, how to make Firefox in general move alot faster!
[Open a new Tab]
[Now type in that tab - About:Config]
[Now go in and type - Network.http.pipelining.maxrequests - Set the number to 30]
[Now right-click and make a new intergral called "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" set the value to 0]
Congrats! Firefox should run faster for you, now! :'D

Second, to make your gaia avatar big/not smooshed at the top of the screen.
[I'll just give you the links to the two things you need. Side-bar fixer and Avatar enlarger. It requires you to download two things, and both are safe!]
[1: Here!] - Go for the "Lite" version!
[2: I suggest you go to www.downloads.com and download both "greasemonkey" and "adblocker"] You don't have to, but it helps!
That's about all you need, that first link. :3 And then your avatar should be large and in charge!
