Well here I am! The monotony was suspended for an afternoon this last weekend as I was able to spend my Saturday in Payson at the Scottish Festival! heart Yay for the annual Scottish fest! It was fun to go up down there with my mom. The Park that was hosting the fest was set up like a traveling medieval carnival tents and swords everywhere! Needless to say, I spent most of my time looking at weapons. Mom thought I was nuts but I have a thing for sharp objects. All know this...and some have the same obsession, yes? heart
Anyway, it was fun. We sat and watched all the Highland Games and that was totally awesome. We got there in time for the Caber Toss (basically throwing tree trunks across a field) and the 'Keger Toss.' Budweiser donated an empty beer keg that weighed 26 lbs and these men-in-kilts would see how high they could throw it. And at the last toss one of the men completely screwed up his toss for the '26 ft' height mark. It wouldn't have been so bad if he just missed, but the keg went flying back to the MC tent and hit all the trophies for the Games. It was so funny to see him sink to his knees in shame while all the other men-in-kilts laughed at him and patted on the back for such a 'nice throw.' Yes much fun for the Scottish games. 3nodding
So anyway, I'd just thought I'd share with you all. ^_^
