Once upon a midnight dreary a thief named Jing was weak and weary.
Many strange and forgotten lands he did transverse and explore.
His companion was a bird named Kir, his black wings a-flapping
While Jing nodded, nearly napping, Kir saw booty galore
"Wake up, Jing." Kir muttered. "all around us is loot galore."

Thus, this ebony bird's wiling, sent Jing's sad face into smiling,
For Jing could steal the stars from the sky, thievery he truly did adore
The albatross sat proudly on Jing's placid bust, his beady eyes did implore
One more thing Kir did mutter, his feathers all a greedy flutter, his voice a roar
