had a time

Have you ever had a friend
who turned their back and let you rot?


Have you ever had someone
break your heart?


Have you ever had another
who made life a work of art?


Have you ever just wanted
to let it all out in a scream?
Have you ever had a day
where life felt like a dream?


Have you ever looked into your hand to find a sharp knife? Have you ever thought about taking your own life?


Have you ever had a friend, come at that time
and found yourself laughing, at a simple rhyme?


Life can be hard
and life can be tough
but friends can help
make it seem less rough.


We cry
we die
and then we fly
to the stars above
where we remember our love...
