why is pain so lonely? unmatchable joy is always a welcome company, even when no one is around. with joy, you are never really alone. but in pain, i am desperately isolated from every smile blown my way. though millions flock my presence, no one feels my hurt. anger is contagious, harsh words are tossed around and never in short supply, everyone is happy in anger when there is someone to blame. but pain? no, pain is a cruel emotion. there is no joy in pain, no resolution, and almost no way out. to feel such sickly emptiness is to know you are alone. even when you are in mass company, you are utterly and irreversabely alone.
why do i have to be so alone...
