This is my story
This is my story...please...do not steal it and say it is yours....I worked hard on this...and it is copyrighted...I am getting it published and everything.....so...please...don't steal it..(Oh and my friend edited it....Lacee Lacee!)

Kiara walked down the crowded school hallway, shoving her way through the hoards of people, trying to get through. It was the end of the last day of school. Summer had now started.
Kiara was getting an egregious headache from all of the other high schoolers screaming, shouting, flirting, and making merry. She shoved the last person out of her way and finally emerged outside in front of the school.
A chilly superficial breeze was blowing. There was still snow on the ground from the two previous seasons, seeing as she was up in the mountains, where summer was only slightly warm.
Kiara had long, straight black hair, deep, sagacious green eyes, fair, creamy skin, and a slim, yet athletic, figure. She was clothed in black baggy pants, a crimson spaghetti-strapped shirt, and black skater shoes.
Kiara resided three miles from the school, in a forest. She had always walked to school, even though her residence was so remote.
Kiara liked it in the forest, where nobody bothered her. No one but her dared to enter the forest, because being rumors and legends and such, breeding fear into the hearts of those around it.
Kiara wasn?t afraid, but she dared not vacate her house at night.

It took Kiara an hour to reach home, though she walked the whole way. She advanced up to her Victorian house?s door. She noticed a note there, at eye-level. She ripped it off and walked inside her house and, throwing her bag on a bar stool, read the note.

~Kiara
I told you I?d find you.
Love always,
~Devlin

Kiara crumpled it up and threw it in the trash.
It?s not him. He doesn?t know where I live. It?s somebody playing a game. Kiara thought while she walked up the stairs and into her room.
She settled herself on her bed and closed her eyes. She was drifting into a blissful sleep when her phone rang, startling her immensely.
Kiara grabbed the receiver, answering it cautiously, not knowing why someone would call her, or who it could be.
?Hello?? Kiara said, trying to forbid her voice from quivering. It would seem her voice had a mind of its own.
?Hey, Kiara. Why have you been hiding?? Pried a dark, cold voice.
Kiara quickly hung up the phone and darted down stairs. She grabbed the bag that was on the bar stool and opened the door to see a man standing there.
?Where are you going?? He asked in sort of nice, questioning voice that had something dark hiding behind the words.
Simultaneously, he wretched the bag from her grasp, grabbing her arm. He dragged her out of the house and threw her into a carriage.
Kiara hit her side on the bench and fell to the floor of the carriage. She glared at the man.
?Who are you?? Kiara asked suspiciously.
?My name is Crevan, and I am Devlin?s servant.? Crevan said, glaring back at her.
He got up on the bench and slammed the door shut.
The carriage took off on a bumpy ride.
He grabbed Kiara and plopped her on the bench next to him, but Kiara got off and sat on the bench farthest away from him, in the corner.
Crevan tossed her bag, which landed next to her. Crevan had dirty blonde hair; a deep, dark set of blue eyes, and tan skin. He wore bleached pants with a tight dark blue shirt that brought out his eyes and shoes by the brand name of Champion.
?I asked you a question.? He said after a few minutes of silence.
?What question?? Kiara asked softly, not wanting to speak to him.
?Where were you going?? Crevan asked again. He had stopped glaring at her, and was now staring at her in a normal manner. He had a strict face.
?Why does it matter? You got me anyway.? Kiara said turning to look at him.
She grabbed her bag off the floor and set it down next to her, opening it. Crevan didn?t say anything, but Kiara knew he greatly desired to.
She took out a black coat and put it on. Then, she zipped her bag back up and pushed off the bench and onto the floor and looked outside. They were going through the forest pretty fast. Faster than Kiara thought they were going.
Crevan looked at her and shook his head.
?What?? Kiara asked still looking out the window. She could see him from the corner of her eye. Crevan sighed.
?How do you know Devlin?? He asked looking at her again. Kiara glared at him.
?He killed my parents and kidnapped me. Didn?t he already tell you about this?? She asked, looking out the window again. She watched the trees go by.
?No, he didn?t tell me. I am just a servant. He doesn?t have to tell me anything if he doesn?t wish to do so.? Crevan said regretting having been mean to her.
?Whatever.? Kiara said grabbing her bag again. The carriage halted and Kiara flew into Crevan. Crevan looked surprised, but Kiara cursed at the carriage and pushed herself off of Crevan. She grabbed her bag.
?Are you going to open the door so I can get out?? Kiara asked, glaring at Crevan.
Crevan opened the door. Kiara pushed him out of her way and walked out of the carriage, holding her bag.
She found herself in front of a huge castle. There she waited, until Crevan got out of the carriage; and when he finally did, she walked up to the castle; knowing running away would be pointless now.
Crevan looked surprised that she didn?t try to run away.
He followed her to the castle doors. As Kiara got to them, she kicked the door open, feeling not an ounce of pain. The doors didn?t budge. Crevan smiled at her and pushed the doors open slightly.
?Show off.? Kiara muttered, stepping inside. She didn?t mean to sound as rude as she had; Crevan already knew. He smiled sweetly at her. Kiara shook her head.
?I see you guys have made friends.? A man said coming out of the shadows. It was Devlin.
He had short black hair, tan skin, and cold, empty green eyes. He was wearing black baggy pants with a dark red shirt, and over that lay a trench coat. It appeared that he worked out a lot. You could see his abs through his shirt.
Kiara backed up a bit into Crevan, who looked down at her. Devlin glared at him. He walked up to Kiara who stared at him like she was looking at a monster. Sweat appeared on her forehead.
?Crevan, I am done with your work now. You can leave.? Devlin said as he stepped back, about five feet away from Kiara.
Crevan nodded his head and started walking away, but Kiara grabbed his shirt. He turned around curiously to see her shake her head as she stared up at him. Crevan looked at Devlin.
?Leave, Crevan. I said I didn?t need your work anymore. I will call you when I need you!? Devlin yelled, causing Kiara to flinch.
Crevan looked at her sympathetically as he grabbed her hands and pulled them off of his shirt. He disappeared into the darkness while Kiara turned around to look at Devlin. Devlin had a smirk on his face.
?What?s wrong, Kiara? You seem scared.? He said, laughing at her.
Kiara looked back to where Crevan disappeared. She then turned back around, when she felt someone wrap their arms around her. It was Devlin. Kiara was shocked.
?I am not scared, Devlin. Just shocked that you have found me after all these years.? Kiara said turning away from him. She looked at the ground. Devlin smirked, and then laughed at her.
?You are shocked that I have found you? That?s surprising? You knew I was going to find you. You dreaded it.? Devlin said, still laughing at her. His eyes squinted slightly, in an intelligent and arrogant manner. Kiara glared at him.
?How would you know?! You don?t know what I feel. You don?t know what I think. Get away from me.? Kiara said, staying calm but raising her voice a bit.
She shoved him back and walked away from him.
?I know more about you than you think I do, Kiara. I have been following you for a while, until I wanted to give myself up.? Devlin said smiling at her. Kiara?s eyes started watering.
?Is that why there were unexpected deaths?? She asked, even though she knew that was the reason. Devlin put on his serious face and grabbed her by the arm.
?They had to be killed, Kiara. Now, let me show you to your room.? Devlin said dragging her up a dark staircase and into a long corridor.
In the corridor was only one meek, evanescent light, which was flickering in and out of life.
Kiara stared around the chamber, not liking it one iota.
?You call this home? It looks more like a dungeon.? Kiara said, stating her opinion a little too harshly. Devlin didn?t seem to notice she had said anything.
He dragged her down to the second to last door on the left and opened it.
The room had deep red walls with black shaggy carpet. There was a four-poster bed, a vanity, balcony, bathroom, and a nightstand. The bed had black velvet curtains hanging down as the canopy, and a blood-red comforter with white fluffy pillows. There were rose petals laying all over in her room. The balcony was pure white, and Kiara?s bathroom looked the same way, to match her room. Windows were placed on one wall in such a manner that you couldn?t even tell it was a wall with the windows on it. To the balcony there was a door. Crimson, velvet curtains were billowing in the cold breeze.
Kiara stepped in. Devlin followed her, his all-knowing, conniving smile plastered still on his face. He again wrapped his arms around her waist, causing her to jump. Kiara had been jumpy in the past months. She looked up at Devlin curiously, who smirked down at her.
?I am going to leave you here in peace. I have some business to attend to. Crevan will take care of you while I am gone.? Devlin let go of her and walked out of her room.
Kiara heard him talking to Crevan after he walked out. She couldn?t make out what they were saying, so Kiara just shrugged her shoulders and walked over to the balcony.
She leaned on the railings and looked at the forest. Trees were taller than her balcony. They encircled the area, except for a single spot. The sun was setting in the area where there were no trees.
She saw Devlin walk into the forest and disappear. Crevan walked into her room and looked at her.
?You lied to him when you said you weren?t scared.? He said walking towards her.
Kiara sighed and sat on the bench that was on the balcony. She ignored Crevan and watched the sun go down, though she did watch him from the corner of her eye.
He was still advancing on her but didn?t look sympathetically at her like he did before. In sympathy?s stead was anger.
?Why did you lie to him? You could stand up for yourself.? Crevan said, taking a seat next to Kiara.
?I tell him I am scared and he will take advantage of that. He is stronger than me, Crevan. You don?t understand, obviously.? Kiara said, looking at him.
?I do understand, Kiara. I know he is stronger than you, but you do not have to lie to him like that. He knows you lied.? Crevan said looking back at her. Kiara shook her head.
?How do you know what I said anyway?? Kiara asked curiously. Crevan chuckled.
?I stayed and watched over you just incase if he hurt you, Kiara. You looked at me like you needed help.? Crevan said forgetting that he wasn?t supposed to talk to her.
Devlin told him it would be best if he didn?t say anything to Kiara.
?I looked at you like I wanted to get out of there. I don?t care for help. I don?t need it. I wanted out and I knew you wouldn?t be able to give me that. I shook my head in disappointment. You are a servant to him, not me.? Kiara said getting up and walking to the railings again.
?I know you want help, Kiara. You?re pride forbids you to admit it. I cannot get you out of this place. You are stuck in it until Devlin lets you out.? Crevan said looking at her curiously while she stood over the railings.
?I know a way to get out of this place, and a great one. And I will succeed in getting out.? Kiara stepped onto the railings, while Crevan quickly stood up.
?Kiara, that won?t solve anything. Get down from there now.? He walked towards her slowly so Kiara wouldn?t notice, though she did see that he was moving. She turned to him.
?Don?t come any closer, or I will jump.? She said narrowing her eyes.
?You will jump whether I come closer or not.? Crevan ran to her just before she jumped and caught her by the arm. He pulled her up onto the balcony and held her close to him. Kiara stayed quiet and motionless, but glared at him in her mind.
?I don?t want you to go suicidal, Kiara. I?m falling for you.? Crevan said getting up with her. Kiara pulled away from him and took a few steps backwards.
?What else am I supposed to do?? Kiara said staying calm. She walked over to her bed and closed the curtains around it. She pulled herself under the covers, laid her head on the pillow, and closed her eyes. She tried to go to sleep, but on sleep?s doorstep, Crevan laid next to her. Kiara looked at him. Her green eyes peered into his dark ones. They were lighter than before. Crevan pulled her to him and held her there. Kiara laid her head on his chest and closed her eyes again.

Crevan opened his eyes to Devlin glaring at him. His eyes were blood red.
Crevan shot up in bed, waking Kiara. Kiara saw Devlin, and looked astonished that he had already returned.
She sat up in the same manner as Crevan, backing up to the headboard. The curtains that were once closed around the bed were now wide open. There was another man with Devlin, who also had scarlet eyes, but normally, not caused by any emotion.
?I thought I told you not to talk to her or touch her?!? Devlin said walking out of the shadows and into the morning light. He punched Crevan.
Kiara screamed and rolled out of bed. The other man grabbed her and covered her mouth. Kiara struggled to get away, but he held her too tight.
Devlin grabbed Crevan and whirled him against the wall. Then, he dragged him out of the room and went down the stairs with him.
Kiara had tears streaming down her eyes as she collapsed to the floor. The man kicked her in the stomach, making Kiara roll over on her side.
?What did you do that for?? Kiara asked looking up at him. He picked her up and threw her against the wall, just like Devlin had done to Crevan.
Kiara hit the floor hard on her ankle and lay there. She didn?t move, fearing that any such movement would snap something.
The man walked towards her. He picked her up, gently this time. He set her on the ground. Kiara tried to stand but her ankle forbid it. The man sighed and set her up on the bed.
Kiara backed away from him, to the other side. She still had tears streaming down her cheeks. She had lost the only man she could trust.
?Who are you supposed to be?? Kiara said between sobs. She put her head into her hands and brought her legs up to her chest.
?I am Devlin?s assistant, as well as his brother. My name is Faolan. I will be the one watching you from now on. You will no longer see Crevan.? Faolan said strictly. He walked over to her closet and pulled out a red dress.
?Is he going to kill him?? Kiara said trying to calm down.
She looked at him curiously while he walked towards her with the dress in his grasp.
?Put this on.? Faolan said ignoring her question. He threw the dress at her.
?I am not wearing this, and you didn?t answer my question.? Kiara said dropping the dress to the floor.
The man appeared by her side and grabbed her by the neck. ?I don?t care if I didn?t answer your question. You are going to wear this dress. Devlin will want to see you soon.?
He let go of her and picked up the dress grabbing her arm and dragged her into the bathroom. There, he dropped her inside and threw the dress at her again, and slammed the door shut, simultaneously locking it.
Kiara undressed, and slid the new dress on. It was tight around her chest, but loose at the bottom. She had to admit, she was pretty, but she still didn?t want to wear it.
She slipped off her shoes and socks, taking longer with her left foot, because being that happened to be her hurt ankle.
Her skin had turned pale. Her hair fell in front of her face as she banged on the door. She still couldn?t walk on her ankle so she leaned against the wall with her other foot.
Faolan opened the door and looked down at her, only to be met by her glaring face. He smiled at her in response, which showed his fangs.
They were not vampire?s fangs, being more dog-like. He picked her up bridal style and carried her to the bed again, at which he set her down.
Kiara shivered a bit and noticed finally what the other guy was wearing. He had brown, spiky hair, his skin was tan, and he was just as buff as Devlin, maybe even more so. He was wearing scruffy jeans, with a green shirt and had a trench coat identical to Devlin?s, and also sported skater shoes.
Faolan had sharp facial features, but calm eyes. Kiara looked up at him.
?When does he want me, and for what reason?? Kiara asked softly, not knowing if he heard or not.
He didn?t answer her for a while. It felt like an hour later until he finally said something.
?You are going to eat dinner with him. You know, he does love you.? Faolan said randomly. It made Kiara feel a little bit bad about falling asleep with Crevan.
?I don?t want to hear it. I really don?t.? Kiara said, looking away from him. He was a lot taller than she was. He was even taller than Devlin, who was approximately 6?2. Crevan was about 5?9, and Kiara was around 5?4. Kiara got up, most of her weight trusted to her right foot.
?What are you doing?? Faolan asked looking at her curiously. Kiara looked at him then, back at the floor.
?I need to walk. It?s not my fault my ankle is swollen.? Kiara said rudely while glaring at Faolan.
Her eyes were still red from crying, and the tears were threatening to retreat again.
?Why do you cry so much?? Faolan asked, looking at her.
Kiara tried to step on her left ankle again but she couldn?t; it hurt too badly. She sat on the bed, giving up.
?Why are you Devlin?s assistant?? Kiara asked, glaring at him.
She looked away after a few seconds. Faolan grabbed her chin and forced her to look at him.
?Don?t you ask me such questions!? Faolan said, letting go of her.
He picked her up again, but not as gently as before. Kiara didn?t say anything, for fear of another encounter with the wall.
?You don?t have to yell at me. Just ask me politely, and I won?t ask you questions like that again. You and Devlin must be brothers. I wouldn?t doubt that one bit.? Kiara muttered, while he walked out of her room and down stairs.
He walked into another long hallway, but it only had one door, at the end. When they got there, Faolan set her down in front of the door, leaning her against the wall and grabbing hold of her ankle, which made Kiara flinch a bit. He squeezed it tight and a green light appeared around her ankle.
Suddenly, Kiara?s pain in her ankle fled, but there was a mark left on its side it. Kiara stared at it, and then glared at him. She was about to ask why he did that until she remembered that he didn?t like being asked questions like that.
Faolan walked away from her and stood guard at the end of the hallway. Kiara got up without any problem. Faolan had forced her ankle to heal somehow. She shook her head; she had seen crazier things in her life.
She opened the door, the first thing she saw being a huge table in the center of the room, Devlin sitting at the end.
Kiara sighed, walking over to the table but Devlin didn?t really notice her. She was about to walk to the other end of the table, away from Devlin, but decided that it wouldn?t be the brightest idea. She sat by Devlin.
He looked up from his papers and saw her, staring at her in awe. Kiara only acted like she didn?t notice.
There was nothing at the table, just a vase of flowers in its center. Kiara looked at the table weirdly and Devlin set his papers aside, crossing his arms. Kiara turned from the table to look at him.
?I see Faolan picked out a dress for you.? Devlin said smiling at her, which made Kiara a bit uncomfortable.
?Yes, he did. Why did your eyes turn red?? Kiara asked, out of the blue. She didn?t know how Devlin would react to her question but she hoped he wasn?t as bad as Faolan.
?Why did you sleep with Crevan?? Devlin asked, glaring at her as he leaned back in his chair. His eyes turned a bright red as he thought about Crevan sleeping with Kiara. Kiara sighed and looked at the ground.
?I was tired. We didn?t even do anything, if that is what you are getting at. He was just there. He?s nice; He?s nicer than you ever were, and will be. You always yell at me. You even killed all the people I cared about so they couldn?t get in between me and you.? Kiara said by mistake.
Devlin?s eyes were now blood red again.
?It?s not my fault you are such a whore! You are the one who kept sleeping with everybody!? Devlin said making Kiara glare at him.
?I am not a whore! You are the one who kidnapped me more than eleven times to get me away from them. If you really loved me, it would have only took once. I hate you.? Kiara said the worse thing she could have possibly said.
Devlin stood up, knocking the chair over as he grabbed the table and chucked it against the wall. It broke into many pieces that flew everywhere.
Kiara jumped and swiftly moved out of the way when some of pieces flew at her.
Then, she ran into Devlin, regretting it as she did. He shoved her down, onto the floor, while Kiara landed on her wrists and twisted them both.
She winced at the pain as she tried to scoot away from Devlin. She didn?t go as fast as she thought she could have.
Devlin picked her up by her neck as Faolan came running in.
?Devlin, put her down, now. You know you don?t want to kill her. We need her, Devlin. Remember that.? Faolan said slowly, walking towards Devlin and Kiara.
Kiara tried to breathe but Devlin was holding on too tight, while he glared at Faolan.
?You can?t tell me what to do. You are my assistant, not my equal.? Devlin said, letting go of Kiara all the same. She fell to the floor, but Faolan picked her up and backed up towards the door.
?I am your brother, Devlin. How am I not your equal?? Faolan asked glaring at Kiara. Kiara only looked at him innocently.
?Faolan, get out of here now. Leave Kiara.? Devlin said strictly. Faolan did as he said, against his will.
He set Kiara down and walked out of the room while Kiara looked at Devlin, afraid. She was fearful of his reaction already.
?I didn?t mean what I said, Devlin. I was just angry.? Kiara said trying to make his eyes normal again. She didn?t like it when he was angry.
Devlin glared at her.
?I know you meant it. Don?t try to cover it up now!? He yelled at her while sitting down in a chair.
Kiara looked at him, suddenly feeling sorry for saying that she hated him, even though she did, deep inside of her.
Kiara backed up towards the door.
?Did you really kill Crevan?? She asked hoping that he wouldn?t mind if she asked the question.
?No. I didn?t kill Crevan. I decided to keep him alive. I didn?t want you to hate me, but I guess that is too late now.? Devlin said getting up and walking to the other door.
Kiara didn?t notice there had been another door until he finally reached it. He opened it and stepped inside, leaving Kiara with the door open as he disappeared into the shadows.
Kiara looked into the darkness, trying to find him, but she gave up when all she saw was black. Getting up and walked to the door, she cautiously stepped through it.
The door slammed shut behind her, making her jump and gasp simultaneously.
Kiara slowed down a bit because she had no idea where she was headed, and didn?t want to get caught by Devlin.
Ahead of her, a light shined brightly, so she did the thing any normal person would do: she walked towards it, curiously.
She saw a dark room with a window seat, balcony, walk-in closet, nightstand, a dresser, and a bed. She noticed that there was a man on top of it. She couldn?t see who it was, so she stepped closer. She realized it was Devlin.
Kiara looked at him sadly and made to stand by his side. He was fast asleep.
?I?m sorry.? Kiara said, even so.
She walked to the other side of the bed and got under the covers with him, and, grabbing his arm and wrapping it around her, she snuggled up to him. Devlin didn?t even wake.
He was tired from yelling, and a day of trying to kill Crevan, though He hadn?t because he loved Kiara so much, and was afraid of hurting her again. He had decided that sleeping would be the only thing to calm down.
Kiara looked up at Devlin as a tear trickled down her cheek. She was sorry for making him mad. He?s so peaceful when he?s asleep, Kiara thought, closing her eyes and resting her head on his chest.

A few hours later, Faolan walked into the room. Peering curiously through the doorway, he saw Devlin had his arm around somebody.
He cocked his head to the side in confusement and walked over to his bed, suddenly noticing that it was Kiara.
He glared at her and shook his head in disappointment. Faolan hated Kiara for hurting Devlin. Devlin always got pissed when he realized Kiara didn?t love him like he loved her. Faolan strode next to Kiara?s side.
?Kiara, get out of his bed now.? Faolan whispered in her ear. It made Kiara open her eyes.
She looked at him then snuggled closer to Devlin. She glared at him, then closed her eyes again.
?Leave me alone. I am trying to sleep.? Kiara whispered back, still with her eyes closed. She tried to go to sleep, but Faolan whispered to her again.
?He doesn?t need you. Get out of his bed now, or I will grab you and pull you out!? He tried not to scream but failed.
Devlin opened his eyes, which were their normal color. He saw Faolan grab Kiara?s arm. Kiara pulled away from him and pushed him away from the bed.
?Faolan, what are you trying to do?? Devlin asked glaring at him a bit. Faolan looked shocked. He stood up straight and backed away from the bed.
?I was just trying to get her out of the bed, Devlin. I didn?t want her disturbing you.? Faolan said pointing towards Kiara.
She was still had her head on Devlin?s chest. She looked up at Faolan and glared at him.
?You did too. That?s why you wanted me to get up. So he would see me leaving with you. You wanted him to think that I was going somewhere with you. Don?t play stupid, Faolan. I?m not stupid enough not to know what you were trying to do. You wanted him mad at me again. That?s why you told Devlin I was sleeping with Crevan, and that we just got done having sex.? Kiara said still snuggled up with Devlin. She closed her eyes, wishing they would both shut up for her to go to sleep. She was still tired, for some reason, but she was nice and warm. She didn?t want to move from her spot. Faolan gaped at Kiara. He glanced at Devlin, who was glaring at Faolan.
?How did you know Faolan told me that, Kiara?? Devlin asked surprised a bit.
?Faolan was talking to you when I was awake still. Can I go to sleep now? I have been trying to get a good night sleep for about five years and you aren?t helping any.? Kiara said rudely, pulling the blankets over her head. Devlin pulled her closer to him.
?Go Faolan. Pack your stuff and leave. I don?t want to see you anymore. Tell Crevan he can come back.? He said while glaring at Faolan.
Faolan didn?t refuse. He left the room with his head lowered as Kiara pulled the blankets off of her head and smiled at Devlin, who was looking out the window, watching falling rain. Kiara smiled again, but to herself this time.
Devlin sat up, causing Kiara move off of him. She glared at him a bit for making her cold again. He was still in his regular clothes. He walked over to his closet and shut the door after he went inside of it.
Kiara shrugged her shoulders and laid her head on the pillow as she curled up in a ball to stay warm. She was about to fall asleep, until she felt somebody get into the bed with her. Kiara looked to see who it was. To her surprise, it was Crevan. She gasped.
?You aren?t supposed to be in here. Devlin is going to be pissed, Crevan. I think you should leave.? Kiara said, scooting away from him.
?What do you mean? I can?t just leave without you, Kiara. I love you.? Crevan said, leaning down to kiss her.
Kiara got out of the bed and hurt her wrists at the same time. She forgot she had twisted them wrong when Devlin pushed her. She winced at the pain but still managed to stand. Crevan glared at her.
?I don?t love you, Crevan. I do care for you, though.? Kiara said, trying not to piss him off.
She backed up away from the bed so Crevan couldn?t tackle her. She made sure she was a few feet away from the bed until she started walking out of the room. Crevan got off the bed.
?Stop, Kiara. Now!? Crevan yelled running after her. Kiara spun around just before he shoved her against the wall. She hit the wall hard and slid down it slowly. She heard something snap when she hit the floor.
?What the hell did you do that for?! I didn?t even do anything to you!? Kiara yelled wincing again.
There was a pain in her side from the fall. She tried to get up but sat back down when she felt another zap of pain in her side. A tear slid down Kiara?s check from the unbearable pain.
Crevan glared down at her, then saw the pain she was going through. He looked at her sympathetically and went to go grab her.
?Don?t touch me!? Kiara screamed, trying to move away from him. She fell something snap again and stopped moving. Crevan backed away from her.
?I?m so sorry.? He said looking at his hands and running out of the room. Kiara glared at him the whole time.
?Devlin!? Kiara screamed, trying to get his help. She couldn?t move at all and when she tried something kept snapping. It was hard for her to breathe. Devlin walked back through the closet door and stared at her in shock. He was now wearing boxers with a tight black shirt on. Kiara glared at him. Devlin tried to pick her up but Kiara put her hand up.
?Don?t touch me. Find a way to move me without hurting me.? She said as he stared down at her.
?What happened?? Devlin asked stupidly. Kiara laughed at him, then stopped when it started hurting.
?Crevan came in. Just try to figure out some way to move me, minus the pain, preferably.? Kiara still glared at him for not coming sooner. She wondered what he was doing in the closet so long.
Devlin laid her down flat on her back, which made Kiara wince in pain again, but this time it wasn?t as bad as before. First, he put his hand under her back and a hand under her legs. Next, he picked her up and made sure she was still straight. Then, he laid her on the bed and put the covers over her so she wouldn?t freeze. Kiara smiled at him.
?Thank you.? She said while he got on the other side of the bed and snuggled up to her like she did to him earlier. He put an arm around her waist and kissed her on the forehead.
Kiara closed her eyes and flinched when another pang of pain in her side greeted her. Devlin wondered what it was, but knew it wasn?t as serious as Kiara thought it to be. He decided he would have to get another person who could heal people.
?You lay right here while I go fetch my other servant. He should be able to heal you. Just stay here.? Devlin said getting out of the bed.
?What else can I do, dipshit? I can?t really move now, can I?? Kiara said, in a pissy mood. Devlin knew it was just the pain she was mad at. He smiled at her and walked out of the room without answering her.
Kiara was surprised that he didn?t. She was lulled to sleep by the rain pounding on the windows outside.

Devlin walked in the room with another man by his side. The man had black shaggy hair, coal black eyes, and pale skin. He was wearing dark jeans with a black shirt that was tight and showed his abs. He had a calm face, but strict eyes. He, also, sported a trench coat.
He looked at Kiara and smiled. She was fast asleep on the bed, still lying on her back.
?Is this Kiara?? The man asked looking at Devlin. Devlin nodded his head.
?Yes, that is her, Colm. How long will it take to heal her?? Devlin asked worried that it would take longer than he expected.
?I don?t know. She doesn?t look very hurt, but she is sleeping. It might just be a minor injury. It won?t take long, Devlin. These things do take time, though.? Colm said, walking to the edge of Devlin?s bed. Kiara looked up at him, then at Devlin.
?Who the hell is he?? She asked as she sat up. She didn?t feel anything wrong with her. The pain was gone from her side. Devlin laughed at her.
?It?s just someone who can help you.? He said walking to her side of the bed. Kiara glared at Colm. She didn?t like him one bit. She got off the bed and walked past Devlin.
?I don?t need help. I am fine.? Kiara said glaring at both of them. Devlin stared at her like he had no clue who she was.
Kiara looked at him weird, while Colm smirked at her.
?She is right. She doesn?t need help. She wasn?t sick or hurt. She was just transforming.? Colm said, bowing a bit to Devlin. He walked past Kiara and walked out of the room.
?What does he mean, ?transforming??? Kiara asked, staring at Devlin. Devlin started laughing hysterically.
?You don?t want to know.? Devlin said finally, after he stopped laughing.
Kiara looked down and checked herself. There was nothing different in the front side of her. She felt the top of her head and felt something fuzzy.
Kiara gaped at Devlin. She ran into Devlin?s bathroom and looked into the mirror. She now had a black fluffy tail, claws, cat fangs, and black fuzzy ears. She didn?t have human?s ears anymore. Instead, she sported cat ears on the top of her head.
Devlin walked into the bathroom and smirked at her.
?You look hotter now.? He said. Kiara punched him in the stomach and stormed out of the bathroom. She was still wearing the red dress.
Devlin didn?t even react to the punch. He grabbed Kiara around the waist with his arms and pulled her close to him. Kiara sighed.
?Don?t be mad. You knew you were half demon.? Devlin said leaning down by her neck. He was whispering in her ear. Kiara sighed again and moved away from him.
?Don?t remind me.? She said as she walked out of Devlin?s room and into the dining room. Everything was still a mess.
She strode out of there and back into the long corridor. Crevan was standing at the end of it, talking to Colm.
When they noticed her, they stopped conversing. Kiara shook her head and glared at them as she walked past them. Colm and Crevan noticed Devlin wasn?t following Kiara this time. They smirked at each other and followed Kiara. She realized this and turned around so quickly Colm and Crevan had to stop each other in time.
?Is there a reason why you are following me?? Kiara asked, eyeing them both. Colm laughed at her.
He grabbed her and put a hand over her mouth so Devlin wouldn?t hear her scream. Crevan picked up her legs and they carried her out of the castle.
Kiara?s dress fell to her thighs, which revealed more than she would have wanted it to. She put it back down with her free hand. Colm had a hold of her other one.
Kiara tried hitting Colm and Crevan, but they easily dodged her blows.
She noticed that the carriage she arrived in was still there, just before they threw her inside. This time, though, she didn?t hit anything. Colm and Crevan got in after her and locked the doors behind them.
The carriage took off, making Kiara slide into Crevan, who laughed at her and picked her up. Kiara scratched him across the arm with her claws and he let go of her. She moved as far away from them as possible.
?Why did you kidnap me? What am I worth to you?? Kiara said glaring at them both. Colm and Crevan looked at each other than laughed.
?You don?t know? You are half demon. The only half demon alive in this world right now. Colm and I have been killing half demons for over 500 years. We haven?t seen any since about 70 years ago. You are the only one who can open the door to Guthrie. We need him and you are the only one who can get us to him.? Crevan said smiling at her. Kiara looked surprised.
?So you were just cuddling up on me and telling me that you were falling for me was all a lie? It was just a way to get me from Devlin and to you instead?? Kiara asked.
She felt stupid for the first time in her life. She felt like she had been played. Colm glared at Crevan.
?I told you not to cuddle up on her! I told you just to get her out of there! We are lucky we got her out now!?
Colm punched Crevan in the face, which made the carriage shake. Crevan fell into Kiara, who pushed him off of her, causing him to fall to the floor.
Crevan got up and took Colm by the neck. His nails became claws, and they pierced into Colm?s skin, drawing blood, so much that a small puddle started to form on the floor of the carriage.
Crevan threw him at the carriage door, which broke off, and Colm flew out of the carriage, hitting a tree.
The carriage stopped. Crevan jumped out of the carriage and kicked Colm, who coughed up blood.
Kiara looked at them both, scared, and inched her way out of the carriage, and barely off the path, into the forest, though still visible.
Crevan turned to her, his eyes blood red, and more ominous than even Devlin?s. Kiara suddenly stopped, obeying his eyes.
Crevan kicked Colm one more time and walked towards Kiara. She stood there, not knowing what she should do; she didn?t even know how fast she could run. She looked like a deer in the headlights.
Crevan grabbed her arm tightly.
?What I said wasn?t a lie. It wasn?t a way to get you away from Devlin, either.? He said, though Kiara wasn?t convinced. She didn?t think that he really loved her.
?I do not believe you. I know you only wanted me to get to Guthrie. There is no point in using me. I don?t know anything about Guthrie except that he is the god that was locked up by the other half-demon. I am not the one who can help you. My father was.? Kiara said pissing Crevan off even more.
?That cannot be true! Your father is dead. I killed him 10 years ago.? Crevan blurted. He cursed to himself. Kiara stared at him shockingly.
?I thought Devlin killed my parents.? Kiara said weakly, as she struggled for possession of her arm again. Her eyes started to water; she was feeling helpless. Crevan looked at her, then looked away.
?No. I did. Your father was pissing me off. He never let me know where you were. The night I killed your parents, you were finally home to see them and-? Crevan was cut off by Kiara punching him in the eye.
Crevan flew to the tree and rubbed his eye with his hand, wincing a little.
?Don?t talk about my parents. I know what you did. I watched it all. You don?t have to go back through the details.? Kiara said, getting back in the carriage.
?Take me home.? She ordered. Crevan looked at her sadly. He blew her a kiss before the carriage door closed and took off again.
Kiara now had tears streaming down her face from remembering her parent?s death. She lay down on the bench and tried to stop crying, but it was no use. There was no way she could stop. She already missed Devlin.
It surprised her that Devlin didn?t kill her parents. Kiara had always thought that he had killed him. She knew that Crevan only wanted her for her looks, that he just wanted her in bed, that?s if he really liked her at all.
The carriage stopped, causing Kiara to fall to the floor. She cursed at the carriage and got out of it.
Devlin was standing in front of the castle waiting for her. Kiara smiled at him; and Devlin smiled back weakly, but then and lowered his head. Kiara wondered why he did that, it was out of character, but she didn?t let it bother her too much.
She walked to him slowly, trudging along trying not to seem like she was overjoyed that she came back to him, and more so that he had been waiting for her. When she reached him, she hugged him tightly. Devlin broke the hug and stared down at her.
He pushed her away and walked to the carriage. Kiara called for him but he didn?t respond.
?Devlin? What is wrong? Why are you ignoring me?? She ran to him before he got into the carriage and stopped him.
?Kiara, I need to go somewhere. A war has started up in the north. They want me there to help them. I want you to stay here where it is safe. I don?t want you hurt.? Devlin said moving the hair away from her face. He caressed her cheek for a minute then let his hand drop to his side.
?Why can?t I go?? Kiara asked, not wanting him to leave. She was worried that he wouldn?t be coming back. Devlin looked at her sadly.
?You are not strong enough to go, Kiara. This is a war, none that you have been to or ever seen.? Devlin said, hugging her. He squeezed her tight and kissed her on the forehead.
Kiara stared up at him like a little kid. Her green eyes were tearing up again. They flashed to a baby blue. Devlin smiled at her.
?I don?t want you to leave me, though. What if the war spreads and comes down here? You might not live that long. What will happen?? Kiara asked not wanting to hear the answer. She knew it wouldn?t be one that she wanted.
?I don?t know, Kiara. Stay here and be safe. I will be back as soon as I can. I just need to help out my friends. If I don?t, then the world will be taken over by the undead.? Devlin walked into the carriage. Kiara tried to follow after him, but the door shut in her face. She banged on the door and screamed.
The carriage took off, leaving her there all alone. As it was just about to leave castle grounds, Devlin looked out the back window and breathed on it, writing ?I love you? with his finger on the glass. Kiara shook her head and waved at him.
?I love you too, Devlin.? She said while walking back to the castle.
She trudged inside, tears streaming down her face. Kiara still wished Devlin were there. No matter what he had done to her before, or how he treated her.
She walked towards her bedroom, but stopped suddenly when she noticed that there was a kitchen. She walked inside noticing a knife stand. She walked slowly over to it, and examining it carefully, she chose the sharpest knife there was.
?I?m so sorry, Devlin. It?s not like you are coming back anyway.? Kiara said, tracing it across her left wrist. Blood seeped through the thin, but deep laceration, and ran down her arm like a river in a forest. It dripped onto the ground.
Kiara could see part of her vane that she had sliced open. She collapsed onto the ground from so much blood loss, still conscious. Her vision went blurry, and she saw a dark silhouette come towards her. It was a shadow with its face no face, just a skull with bloodstains. Kiara closed her eyes and fell into eternal sleep.
