To Bullshit (bull-sch-it)

A decade and five year ago, a girl was born under the sign of the Ram. She was raised in an honest and intelligent family. She had been taught by personal experience that lying could bring physical harm to loved ones. And so, she learned that it was best not to lie.
This girl is me. I was born with an uncanny sense for smelling lies, being that I could do it so well but was trained not to. I've always been able to predict disloyal friends, backstabbing relatives, and half-truths.
And now it comes to pass that this girl, I, have composed a small list of bullshitting that I have encountered in my day-to-day life and it needs to stop.

1. Don't ******** bullshit about being broke.
Just because Good Charlotte sang "Life-Styles Of The Rich And Famous" does not mean that being moneyless should become the "punk" or fashionable thing to be. If you were poor, you couldn't ******** afford your cherished Hot Topic, major-corporation products and you couldn't afford to have your hair professionally dyed and trimmed every ******** week to keep up that oh-so-punk haircut. Being poor is not ******** fun, it is not a ******** fashion trend. It's when your mom has to ask to borrow money from you to buy cigarrettes and takes the lunch money you've been saving that you got from a friend. That's ******** poor. Not being able to get every new, latest, and hottest CD is ******** poor and, yes, it's hard. So if you act poor and then get surprised that you can't have something that you want when you want it, get over it and yourself 'cause you shoulda been more careful what you wished for, ********.
2. Don't ******** act like you have low self-esteem for pity.
I understand there's a difference between action and intention but when you say you have low self-esteem and then proceed to flaunt the products of your so-called "suckiness" that you're supposedly so ashamed of, there's definitely a mixed message being sent. Do not call yourself fat and ugly just because every other girl in your circle is doing it. There are children, like me, that are coming down with diabetes for being overweight so take a second to be a little ******** considerate. There are others with actual low self-esteem that are being ignored because of your cheap ploy to get some ******** attention.
3. Don't ******** rape people with your artwork.
I don't force you to read my fics. I don't even ******** ask you to read the profiles. I don't even ******** ask for you to know anything about my stories. Don't force me to look at your art, read your story, listen to your song, anything. Ask me, if I want to, I'll say sure. I'm sure that's how it works with other people too. Don't plug your stuff with every other ******** sentence, don't pull it out and show it to me before asking, don't force it on everyone who's ever spoken to you. Just because a teacher compliments you on something does not grant you permission to pull out your artwork and talk about how you incorporated the same concept into whatever. If no one's looking, it's because no one ******** cares. Get over it and produce something worth caring about.
4. Don't ******** lure people into starting confrontations with you so you can act the victim
If you're pissed or feel that there's a confrontation that's coming or needs to be coming, do it yourself. Suck it up, be responsible for your ******** actions and emotions. Don't mention how you screwed so-and-so's boyfriend or how you got the promotion. You're just being immature by drawing the person out into an argument.
5. Don't ******** believe everything you hear and then try to pass it off as fact.
Do some ******** research before you think you have any solid facts. The Da Vinci Code is not the Idiot's Guide to Christian Conspiracies and Green Day is not the final ******** authority on effectiveness of political leaders. Just 'cause Hot Topic says Bob Marley and Led Zeppelin are the quintessence of music, maybe you should listen to an album or two before deciding you agree. Before buying a Foamy T-Shirt...maybe you should watch one episode. Just maybe.
6. Don't act so ******** liberal just because it's the cool thing to be. lib·er·al

You can't be liberal if you have a bias against anyone. Yes, even right-wing conservative Christians. You might have to listen to their opinions too! Oh, *gasp*!
THINGS THESE PEOPLE SHOULD TRY:
1. Researching and basing their opinion on either personal convinctions or solid fact from a reliable source. A source other than the Onion, please.
2. Consider yourself a little more. Take time out of your schedule for grovelling for new friends and appreciation and actually think about yourself. What qualities you have, why you have them, why do you consider the world the way you do and are you justified? Do you actually have any experience with what you're talking about or is all second-hand knowledge that you heard from that girl who sometimes sits on the bus with you?
3. Consider your actions. Do they support the decisions you've made in your personality? If not, changes should follow accordingly.
4. Drop your sense of "what's popular? What will help me look the most punk and get me the most attention?". It's healthy to care what other people think about you, of course, as it is also human nature but IN MODERATION. Their opinions should never come before your own.
5. If need be, realize that you might not get everything you want.
Note: Yes, this is hypocritical of me to say "don't think about other people's opinions...but listen to mine! Make changes in your personality because of me!" No. Running around whoring yourself is not an opinion, it's an action. All I'm suggesting is that someone think about why they're so desperate to bullshit. Isn't it good to understand the meanings of our actions?
