I gasped quietly as I realized Devon's evil plot. "no..." I whispered, my eyes welling up. I couldn't go back to the guild but nobody seemed to figure out why. I took a deep breath, falling to my knees. "NOOOOOOO!!!!!"
MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
my long, drawn out scream was cut short as a lightbulb appeared over my head. "I know what I can do to stop this misery" I muttered, standing up and walking over to the door. "I'll do what I've been planning for four years but never had enough courage to do"
Whazzat?
I walked down the hill in my front yard, towards the lake. I shivered as I realized how icy cold the water was. "no matter" I thought, "I won't be feeling any cold where I'm going" I braved the cold waters, walking in until I was up to my neck. I turned back to my friend, who was standing on the shores. "good-bye, Devon. see you on the other side" I said, ducking under the water and taking a deep breath, inevitably drowning myself.
"Noooooooooo!" I screamed, realizing what I had pushed my best friend to do. "KAWAII-SAN COME BACK I DIDN'T MEAN IT!!!" (heh two can play at this game)
(oh? I suppose. but I haven't used any emoticons *smirks*)
I opened my eyes to find myself standing on the deck outside my house. "what...?" I muttered, raising my eyebrows. I looked down at the shores, to see Devon crying for me. "Devon, don't cry! it's not just you!" I cried, my heart steadily breaking.
(Yeah well screw you!)
"Yes it is!" I cried. "It's always my fault!!! Even my kitty cat Goblin dieing was my fault!"
I jumped off the deck, something I'd always wanted to do but never had the courage. forgetting the excitement I rushed over to Devon, falling next to her. "Devon..." I began, trailing off, "it's not your fault. this has been bothering me for four years. I've been depressed as long as I can remember. in fact I think this is a good thing. now I can leave the sadness behind" I said. I took a deep breath, wrapping my arms around her. "you've freed me Devon"
