Names and faces linger in minds eye, yet people pass by too fast and fade away like clouds or shadows.
As do currents, People don't remain fixed in one place or time. I've known for so long that its unavoidable.
I rarely connected,attached. Placed no anchor or sought any port.
It had't hit me before how much what I was missing bothers me. I lost myself, in desperation of that realization. I was stuck clinging to the only respite I could find like some life preserve. Didn't change the fact I was still sinking. I dreaded letting go, casting myself adrift again...Now
I'm tired clutching to driftwood.
The promise of some precious oasis is out there, at least
