Like broken glass and
Sharpen knives
Every night my heart breaks
More and more,
Like a shattered mirror.
I picture her face and
Her pale rose lips touching,
Grazing against mine.
I know why she left
I know why she's gone.
She slipped through my fingers
Into that forbidden place
Into that world of fantasy
That place where doors
Are made of liquid iron.
Through my own nightmares
I see her forgotten beauty.
Through my own dreams
I cry her name .
From my own tears
I beg for her to come home again
