the captions on. I could be washing the dishes, or someones in the room is on the phone/having a conversation. It's impossible to hear the TV when I'm eating certain boxed cereals. The sounds of it crunching in my mouth is too loud (ever noticed that? it's like the noise fills your entire head!), so captions help me keep track of what's going on with what I'm watching.
Sometimes I think the person is saying one thing when REALLY he's saying something else. On the contrary, I KNOW I heard something and the captions had a typo in it. Electronics isn't at the state of perfection YET, my friends.
