I hear a piano in my mind
A voice telling me
about broken promises
I'm not a liar
I'm trying to help
It's so easy to act like I'm oblivious
"You're leaving me."
A bitter smile, I remember feeling.
"You already left."
Guilt
Hopelessness
Wishing for something that will never come
A piano
Full of tunes
Some broken and half played
Others flowing like river water, rushing down emotions I can't identify before it's too late
"Elves pride their weaknesses. An elf's weakness include pride. Tell me Lily, what do you think all elves pride in?"
"Our friends."
A smirk, almost disbelieving. Yet the feeling that he is startled.
"Wrong."
A sudden feeling of fear.
"Oh?"
Thorny roses, creeping up all around me.
Footsteps, the feeling of someone walking up behind.
A whisper, snide and horrible.
Something sharp barely touching something sensitive.
"Our ears."
Pain.
