A day in the library
Laughter.
Pure, sweet, simple.
It made Lily ache for something she couldn't quite identify; instead she stiffly stood up, slamming her book loudly.
The laughter paused, and Lily's keen ears heard the sounds of whispering. She sighed quietly and stood up, wavering slightly as she did so.
After checking out the book she exited the library, and the laughter boomed out again.
She felt something like jealousy pang inside of her.
When did she stop laughing?
