Quietly, the days go by without a care

and i sit there at the window

hiding all inside

and waiting

waiting..

for someone

my heart beats black once again

and my eyes loose their shine

and the only safety is deep within the womb

where no one can get me

but i've lost it

and without it

my world tumbles down

and as a reach out again

my hand slowly disappears

and your face fades, and leaves me in the dark

"i'm here."

"i'm lost again."

I hold on to what i have left

But i realize...It's not much

And each day it gets smaller,

and each day, it gets blurry

I wait for something to happen, but

It won't come to that day

and though you're all around

you're gone to me

and i'm blinded

by what the past once brought

and what the future will never bring

i miss every bit of what i took advantage of

and though it's nothing to everyone else

it's everything to me

Looking out the window

It's just the same as every day
