Chisa fell to her knees, arrows firing over head. The heads of them sliced through the feathers of her wings. If the Dark Citadel wanted angels to experiment on so badly, why kill them? She stood and began running, feeling the tickle of blood dripping down her wing bones. Her wing feather snared painfully in a branch. As she twisted around to unhook her wings, she caught sight of and archer. He had perched himself on a fallen log and aimed his cross bow in her direction. He released it. The arrow split the air towards her. As it flew towards her...
"Scarlette!"
... as it flew towards her....
"Scarlette!"
Scarlette snapped into reality again. Her fingers ceased typing the keyboard. She stood up, stepped over to the door and swung it open.
"What?!" she called.
Her mother called from down stairs.
Scarlette lazily trotted down the stairs to her awaiting mother.
"Honey," her Mom began. "Me and your Dad have work to attend to-"
"Yeah, of course. Why?" Scarlette interrupted.
