Shamed tears slid down the childs face
as she tried not to gag on her dada's
thick length.
She loathed the daily lessons that her
dada enforced on her and her cousin Dylan,
the tan lady's cynical sneer,
her probing hands - prodding her as if
she was livestock, the looks she got.
She felt inadequate and filthy,
she was never going to become the son her
dada wanted - always stuck with a t**t
and therefore vulnerable.

"Shad commere!" the skinny child raced to
the building wondering what her dada had
for her.
She saw at least seventeen men sitting in
a circle in white chairs a camera rolling
in the background.
She woke up to her dada saying "put on your
pants" she was crying. she didn't understand
the pain.
"down the hill. now." tears slid down her
cheeks as she struggled to get up.
she cried out and fell, rolling halfway down
the steep hill before her dada grabbed her
roughly carrying her downhill to her mamaws
house. "i never shouldv'e let him do this to
you"she says crying."get in your carseat"
"but mamaw it hurts!"
"shut up and get in your goddamn carseat!"
she drove the child up the holler to her
gramma's house.she stayed in the car
watching mamaw fight gramma. tommy got
her out of the car and handed her to gramma.
gramma picked the girl up and placed her on
the sink. she took off the childs pants and
cursed ,crying. "call doctor salem" the girl
woke up in the doctors office long enought
to hear doctor salem cuss and then blacked
out.

the girl watched as her mama took a basket of clothes out to the clothesline. the girl knew something bad was going to happen just by looking at her mama's face. the screen door shut and the skinny child looked out the window. her dada walked by seething over god knew what and went outside, she heard her mama scream and she flinched. her mama came in blood pouring down her face holding a basket of laundry. the girl did the only thing she knew how her little feet carrying her to the bathroom as fast as she could, she wet a rag and ran back gently wiping the blood from her mama's face and glaring at her dada.

the childs mama ran into the room throwing clothes in a bag frantically woke up the girl and grabbed cloth diapers for her sister,picking them up running up the road to gramma and tommy's house. her mama took a u-haul and aunt c and went to get her stuff. papaw was hiding behind a oak tree with a shotgun waiting. he shot her mama 215 times with buckshot. her aunt came back with her cousin krystal they left and went to springfeild for two weeks.when she seen her mama again she was broken they couldnt get all the buckshot out. her mama now is deaf in one ear and has dementia along with bipolar four and chronic depression. the girl still takes care of her the best she knows how, she dosent know what to do at times but she loves her and thats all she can do....
