Powers:
Manipulation of Ice – With his harpbow, Metel can manipulate the formation of ice by a single strum of the chords. Whether it’s by playing music or firing arrows, he is a master at ice combat. With his music, his main strategy is to distract his opponents with his music so that he can form ice on them. He can also direct ice and snow according to the tempo of whatever he’s playing. When he begins to play his harp, the area becomes cold. Alternatively, he can use his harp as a bow, and can fire many ice arrows at once. As long as there’s moisture in the air, Metel can create as many arrows as needed.
As a demon, he can turn into his true form. In this form, he takes the appearance of an armored white centaur. The armor is made of ice, as are his hooves. In this form, he can use not only his bow and arrows, but can create a multitude of weapons made out of ice at will and can turn anything to ice with a touch. He can also create blizzards and complete whiteouts while in this form.
Despite being weak to fire, Metel has a method of retaliating against fire-using opponents. When his ice melts, he can (to an extent) manipulate the water created from it to douse the fire. He cannot manipulate water not created from his ice, however.

Personality: Metel commonly portrays himself as happy-go-lucky, calm, and caring. Normally, he’ll do anything in his power to help his allies (particularly Shaji) if he is needed. He loves to play his music, and is constantly playing his harpbow whilst singing or humming to the tune. While he appears caring and helpful on the outside, he is introvertedly cold, distant, and apathetic. In reality, he doesn’t care what happens to his allies, good or not. Nothing seems to mentally affect him, and he maintains a somewhat numb personality when acting as his true self. He only acts happy because he doesn’t want to forget what it’s like to feel and share warmth. Unfortunately, he has long forgotten how it feels and he wants desperately to be able to feel true warmth again.

History: In his late teens, he was involved in a war between his town and another. His town was desperately weak, however, and his family would face certain annihilation if he didn’t win. A local ice demon offered Metel incomprehensible strength, in which Metel accepted the offer. What the demon didn’t inform Metel of was the fact that his heart would turn into ice, and eventually he would not be able to feel pleasant warmth or emotion. After winning the war for his family, Metel learned of this and became devastated. In an emotional outburst, he destroyed his own town when he accidentally caused a massive snowstorm. Since this incident, he vowed to practice acts of kindness and happiness so that he doesn’t forget what it is like to feel warmth and love. The older he got however, his heart turned more and more into ice. Presently, 70% of his heart is pure ice, and he is having trouble displaying genuine emotion.

Other: He loves Christmas and winter, and despises heat and summer. He also has a fondness for Victorian and Baroque fashion.
