If you're going to correct someone's writing then point out those mistakes. Don't just tell them that their writing sucks or that they have some mistakes. EXPLAIN what those mistakes are and/or WHY their writing sucks. If you explain in detail it would them help improve their writing. Otherwise they'll just think that you're a troll who has nothing better to do then attack them. If you back up your comment of what is wrong with their work, then they feel more incline to fix what is incorrect to make it better.
Also if you're going to correct someone make sure you know what you're talking about AND that you're not just negative. Just pointing out what is wrong is rude and it takes less bite of out of the comment/review if you also point out the positives; what you liked about their writing. That's the difference between constructive criticism and flames (rude unhelpful comments).
So always approach your reviews/constructive criticisms in a gentle and friendly manner. It's respectful and the right way to do it. After all, if you want to be treated politely then you must treat others the way you want to be treated. If you're rude to them then they'll be rude right back.
