Name: Vireas

Age: Unknown. Age- immortal, but appears to be in his 20's (Can die of certain wounds)

Race: Virus

Powers: Since he is a virus, he has the ability to infect. His main form of attack is by throwing bacteriophage-shaped darts at his targets. When attacking more than one person, he plants spiky mines in the ground that, when touched, explode to release viruses in the form of black dust. When attacking a mass of people, he transforms into a cloud of black dust. He can also manipulate this dust when he is in humanoid form. Once it is inside a person, he can direct it to any part of the body. He thinks that because he technically isn't alive that he cannot die, when he can, in fact, be severely incapacitated. He is not far off, because he can go through a lot of things most living beings couldn't.

Personality: He is very arrogant, and looks down upon living things. In fact, he looks down upon both living and nonliving things, since he does not appear to be either. He's also extremely egotistic and selfish. To keep himself in existence, he infects living things, and despite having an uppity attitude towards them, cannot survive without them. As a result, he has hidden feelings for Anaash. Even though he's very strategic, he's not very intelligent. Internally, he's very troubled and is on a quest to find out what exactly he is (he and many globally can't decide if viruses are living or nonliving.) He also displays extreme clinginess. Even though Erik is around him constantly, when Erik goes away from Vireas without permission, Vireas darts him and therefore causes illness so that Erik won't venture away from him. Despite his many cons, he is good at something. When Anaash becomes unstable and begins producing too many cells (cancer), he destroys her extra cells to calm her down.

History: As a child, he at first thought he was a technical living organism. But when it was discovered he couldn't eat, drink, or perform other living functions,many began to shun him. His best friend was Anaash, who he was beginning to mistreat. He questioned himself many times, trying to figure out whether he was living or not. Vireas found he couldn't keep himself in existence (he prefers not to use the word "alive".) without living organisms, and began infecting living things so that he could thrive. From then on, he developed a bad reputation. No matter how much he wanted to, he could not stop causing illness. One day, he met Erik. Vireas observed that Erik was similar to him in that they both caused illness and had to infect living things in order to survive. The two started out as friends, but Erik progressively became wary of Vireas, venturing off from him often. Even in the present day, Vireas still does not know what he is or what purpose he serves.

Other: In modern times, he discovered computers and decided to bother living things through viruses.
