Recently I was watching an old episode of America’s Next Top Model and it was about the women getting new hairstyles. They knew it was coming and they were ready for it but once they got it, they cried and moan about it. It wasn’t all of them but it was just ridiculous on all the drama they were causing over it. I’ve also notice that there’s always that one or two women in the show that complain about their hair. It’s not the end of the world that their hair is short, besides it grows back so it’s not like it’s forever.
It’s not just that but there are many girls out there that complain about their long hair, they get it cut and then they still complain about it because they miss their long hair. It’s silly, why did you get a haircut only to complain afterward and regret getting it cut? It’s makes me wonder if they really thought about it and only did it because it was “in the moment” or it’s what everyone else was doing.
My hair was long, up to my behind and I cut it short to about an inch above my shoulders. It was a huge difference and not once did I complain about it. I loved it because there’s a lot of pros then cons to having short hair. It was summer, it kept me cool, and it saved me from having my hair stick to my face, neck and back when I sweat.
With short hair it didn’t try to suffocate me when I’m sleeping or get caught underneath my elbow when I’m trying to get up from my bed. It also didn’t get caught in my hoodie zipper or other objects. Short hair also meant less knots I had to comb out, less time washing it and less time styling it too. Basically, having short hair benefit me because I wanted to be comfortable and easy going.
