* Iosef pulled the wagon through the forest, in full wolf form, his breathing heavy from pulling the wagon for so long. "I can't believe it took me three days to get all our stuff packed and get this far to the village." He thought. Iosef pulls the wagon up the village gate a few minutes later. "Hey Isis!" A young fox demon called down from the top of the gate. "Iosef!!" "Iosef you're back!" Iosef looked up at Isis, confused but detecting the fear in his voice. "What is it Isis?" "What's wrong?" "The vill..." Isis went into a fit of coughing. "The village contracted some kind of horrible virus!" "Iosef...it...it got Sara...and the kids..." Iosef stared blankly at Isis. "What do you mean?" "Are they sick or something?!" "OPEN THE GATE!" Iosef shook the gate furiously. "I can't let you in Iosef...the village is under quarantine." Iosef shook the gate again. "I don't care I have to see my wife!!" "You can't Iosef..." "WHY NOT?!?!" Iosef screamed. "Because Iosef...I told you...the virus...it killed her...and the children..." "Im sorry Iosef........" Iosef stared at Isis, a look of confusion and anguish on his face. "But...I was...only gone for...three days..." "I WAS ONLY GONE THREE DAYS!!!!" Iosef shook the gate again, howling loud enough to be heard for miles. "NOOOOOOO!!!!!" Iosef's eyes rolled back into his head and he shook the gate, snarling and clawing and biting at it, trying furiously to get in. "I'm so sorry Iosef..." Iosef froze, staring at Isis with an expression of pure hatred. "YOU!!" "YOU WORKED FOR ASTH!!" "YOU KILLED THEM!!" Iosef started trying to climb the wall, snarling and foaming at the mouth. Isis just turned away sadly, sitting back in the guards chair atop the wall. Iosef was still snarling and scrabbling trying to climb the wall, his efforts slowing as his energy ran out until eventually he collapsed sobbing against the wall. A few hours passed and the sky darkened, rain clouds approaching fast. Iosef stood up, exhausted, depressed and in a haze. He grabbed the ropes on the front of the wagon and turned it around, starting back to his and Sara's old house. Two days later he stopped in front of the house and began unloading the wagon, putting everything back where it used to be, then sitting down in a chair by the window, a small glass in his hand. * "That was a week ago, and the rain hasn't stopped." "It's as if the world is mourning the loss of so many lives." Iosef looked down at the small glass in his hand, contemplating the poison mixed with beer he had put in it. Wondering if he should drink it and end it all. "Sara woudn't have wanted this." "She would've wanted me to move on...maybe find someone else." Iosef tightened his grip on the glass and slammed his fist down on the arm of the chair. "But Sara's not here anymore!" "And I don't want to fine someone else!!" He lifted the glass and poured the mixture down his throat, feeling the deadly poison spread through his body, working its way to his brain and shutting it down. The rain continued pouring, still splattering against the window and lightning flashed, illuminating the dead body in the chair. Iosef Koranison had killed himself, and the last of his family's lineage was dead.
