It's not really what you think when you learn about something very new. You know about it when you see it but you don't really know the true nature of something unless you completely had yourself devoted to it.
Just like you can't really sense something if you don't know or don't believe in a legend, of course many people think about when they are stuck in many situations where they cannot think about the many possibilities about being a human being... well in most sense-> think about reality.
Try visiting the Mansfield reformatory in Mansfield Ohio, it's quite creepy but if you are not careful, you could end up freaked out or hurt in the most case. LOL
If you noticed it, the reformatory was used nearly a hundred years ago but then abandoned in 1990 I believe. Try learning the history about it! It's quite fascinating.
