Bleh....that is what my day consisted of. Bleh.
Not alot at all happened. I did have an interesting weekend. I really didn't want to go anywhere but somehow my parents forced me too.
So...I went to go see the Laramie Project. It's a true story about a young homosexual who is beaten to death by nothing short of rednecks. The media uproar that follows is documented in the play. Its a sad sad story about how hate can drive supposedly good people can turn into something so awful. There is a scene called Snow in which a preacher comes across the states to Wyoming to scream messages of hate at the people attending this poor kids funeral. Even though I knew it was a play I just wanted to stand up and throw a rock at the unfortunate actor portraying the part. It just saddened me how a preacher...a leader of men...someone who is suppose to preach peace...took time out of his daily devotions to scream to a pair of grieving parents that their child was going to Hell. Is that what God wants? Is that what he feels we should do to those we believe are sinnig? I think not.
Anyway...go and see it the next time it hits near you. Even if you don't support homosexuality it is a good Anti-Hate message.
