Wish the world was sweet,
But it never goes like that.
A long with the wish that I could find peace.
But, it never goes like that.
Got a feeling that things will be all right,
But, it never goes like that.
And as I stare blankly into space,
With little movement on my face,
And thoughts of love and grace,
Invade my cranium space,
I realize that I'm in love.
And as I reminisce in the past,
Hoping this love will last,
I realize...

So I may look sad,
As I try to laugh,
And act,
As if nothing is wrong,
And sing sweet songs,
Of life and it's love,
And the magic above,
The world and it's angers,
It's hatred and hunger,
It's harsh lessons to learn,
And it's lives to burn,
You need to realize,

And the children cry,
At the darkened skies,
As I,
Have done,
That even with God's love,
And the help from above,
And the wings of a dove,
And the sighs that are brung,
And the love in ones lap,
The pain that attacks,
That much like stories...
