So, for the past 2 weeks in English class, we've been reading a book called "Fareheit". Its a book written in the 1950's when television was first invented. This book basically takes place in the future, and the author is giving his view on what will happen with humans and TV; people won't be able to think anymore. To be more specific, in the book almost everybody is attatched to some kind of technology such as a small earbud that always plays music or TVs that are as big as a wall. And because of all this technology, people can't think anymore. They're too concentrated on be "happy". But they aren't really happy. And only a handful of humans think and don't care about technolgy. The catch is that books, in the story, are illegal. And if caught with books, fire men will come and burn your books. Uh-huh. Fire men BURN the books, and not put the fires out. Also, more suicides happen often because of overdose on pills (becuase they aren't thinking) and becuase they really aren't happy and they want their books. To me, this book is interesting. I like this book. Also because I realize what this author is trying to tell us.
Alot of people tend to text nowadays, instead of actually TALKING. Cause, oh, its too much work to talk. I'm trying to tell my parents something, but oh, I have to shutup becuase they are watching some stupid Polish soap opera. I want to play tennis or badminton with Dad. but oh, sorry he has to go practice with his band, or he's talking to his friends on the cell phone. What, is TV or the phone more important than talking to your family? I'm freaking sick today, and since we're Christian, we can't eat meat on Good Friday. Our fridge is almost empty, and I can't eat any meat. And I'm hungry as hell. But oh, no my parents have to relax. My mom always has to freaking yell like a phsyco path and my dad, of course, goes watch TV. They do not care I'm sick and hungry? Well thats just nice. But oh, if I'm on the computer I have to get off or mom's gonna beat my arse. This is so stupid. Society is becoming dumber nowadays because of technology. Well, most people anyway. I know I sound/look stupid because I'm complaining about technology while I'm using it but hey, what else am I supposed to do? My parents are gone and my sister doesn't spend time with me and she's about to go.
