confusion plagues my heart
moving in and out of my arteries
rising to the surface
like bruises of pain and remorse
painted across my face
a portrait of twisted agony
teeth crunch down and grind
grind, grind, grind
this is difficult to swallow
constantly regurgitating emotions
only to have them force fed back
i live in constant duress
constant distaste
my soul lives forlorn
in this disgusting excuse for a body
trying to escape
my heart shaped shackle of confusion
holds it down
holds me down
