the color of your cheeks
the beating of your heart
the heat beneath your skin,
is gone.
the lullabye of no tomorrow
wailing at your door
your lungs are empty cavities,
for now you breathe no more.
the silence echos sadly
inside these empty walls
all i do is wait
wait for these stinging tears to fall.
im all alone now,
alone as i can be
in this room that used to be
full of voice and laughter.
