Yeah, for some reason unknown to me I just really had the urge to say that.

Anywhoo, this weekend is the all-state band get-together, and I happen to be one of the first trombones. That means that I'm probably going to be 1st 2nd or 3rd chair, which is actually pretty darned good considering that this is best in STATE o.o I'm just super nervous. I don't know all the music that well, but then again neither does anyone else. I met all the people who are going to make up the trombone section, and there are two more girls! YAY! Naomi, a female trombonist like myself, is in the first section too, so I don't feel so left out.
However, competition remains.
Joe is constantly trying to phaze me out by playing exactly what I'm playing while I'm trying to play it. Stuff I'm trying to practice, parts I'm playing, and the fact that we're playing the same solo piece isn't helping. My boyfriend suggested I try to ignore him, and I'm trying really hard, but he's just THERE all the time. Today I was practicing my solo in the band room and he comes up right behind me and plays the same thing, so in a way we had our own little showdown. I won 4laugh
